Happy 3rd Birthday, Natalie!

Where has time gone? I can still remember the day you were born...it seems like just yesterday!

She has grown so much over the last year!  She never stops talking unless she is asleep (I see that being a problem come school days!) We often call her our "little commentator" because she gives us a play-by-play of EVERYTHING that is going on at every single moment. The things that come out of her mouth are absolutely hilarious, and she is definitely too smart for her own good!

Natalie you are so smart, funny, beautiful, spunky, and just plain lovable!  I hope you always keep your contagious laugh and smile, your sense of adventure, and your personality that can instantly get anyone to talk to you!  You definitely have changed our lives, but for the better!  We love you so much and can't wait to watch you continue to grown into a special little girl!

Natalie's big surprise for her birthday from us was a Frozen big girl bed!  Yes, we are fueling her Frozen obsession even more!  She loved it just like I knew she would!

I asked Natalie 20 questions (Pinterest find!) and I think if I would have let her, she would have picked 'Frozen' or 'Elsa' for every answer!

What is your favorite fruit?  Grapes

Natalie's 3rd Birthday Party!

Another year has passed! This year our obsession is the Disney movie FROZEN!!!  So, of course we had to make that the theme of Natalie's 3rd birthday! I'm slowly learning over the years on how to try to improve to make myself less stressed and this year I think things went super smooth and had plenty of time to get ready for the party and relax a bit before all the craziness happened!

Usually we have our parties around lunch time, but this year decided to start the party at 4p, which was actually perfect for us and our families traveling from out of town!  I think we ended up with about 24 adults, 14 kids, and 5 dogs in our house all at the same time!  Luckily even though our basement isn't finished, we continue to the have the bounce house and other toys in the basement for the kiddos to play with. I also added a craft table this year that included coloring pictures of Queen Elsa, Princess Anna, Olaf, and a maze, as well as a 'build a snowman' spot where you could glue together Olaf as you pleased. We also had pin the nose on Olaf (thanks to my sister's awesome artistic skills)!

Although it was crowded, I felt like things went smoothly, but like always I'm always running in a million different directions so I don't get to spend a lot of time with everyone that came...sorry! I'm always in party mode trying to keep things moving so no one gets bored :)

Natalie sure is a spoiled little girl that has so many people that care about her and are willing to take time out of their day to spend it with her to celebrate her special day!  We want to thank everyone for coming and for all of the gifts!  We had a great time...I know Natalie had a ton of fun as she is really tired today...we hope you all had fun as well!

Photo Obsession

In a little over a week we will have a 3 year old!!!!  I am really loving Natalie's age right now! She is still sweet and loving, but growing to be so independent. It's a lot of fun to see her grow up, which is going way too fast. Of course she has her defiant moments and the looks she gives...oh my goodness!

Aubrey on the other hand, ugh!  That's all I really have to say about her!  She is really challenging us lately with her whining and crying all the time!  She can be a big instigator in the arguments with her sister. Aubrey also likes to push Natalie, which is kind of funny to watch, but it's not the right thing to do. She is also into EVERYTHING!!!!  Whenever you turn around, she is into something else. Telling her 'NO' doesn't seem to do anything, slapping her hand just makes her start her 'drama cry' and she's back into whatever you told her 'no' about anyway. I don't know if she's teething or what, but she seems to cry/whine more than she is happy. Dinner time is another battle!  Lately she has been really picky and doesn't want to eat meat unless it's sausage and really only seems interested in carbs!  She's very much into feeding Rusty, which he loves and we hate!  She is just something else. It also doesn't help that she doesn't say many words at all! I can really only understand 'more', 'hi', 'bye', 'sister', 'that', and a few of the regulars like mama, dada, etc.

Of course our house is a little (or a LOT) obsessed with the Disney movie, Frozen! Natalie talks about it all the time and everything is about Frozen or Queen Elsa and Anna! If you ask her a question, it doesn't even have to pertain to the movie and her answer somehow relates your question to the movie!  After Natalie got her Queen Elsa dress from Auntie Amanda, she of course wants to wear it often!  My friend, Cassie, saw that one of her friend's on Facebook took a Queen Elsa inspired photo and she told me I should try to do the same thing. We had the perfect snowfall the other day and even though it was cold, Natalie braved the freezing temps for a minute for me to shoot some quick picks. I think they turned out awesome (I'm not biased at all)!!!

My friend, Melissa, crocheted the girls the cutest beanies!  So, of course I had to take some photos of them in those, too!

Bobby laughs at me because he says I take pictures of the girls every day that I am home with them. That is not really true, but lately, I agree I have been a little camera-happy!  Maybe it's because I haven't had many photo sessions with other families because of the cold weather. I do have 2 coming up, so that will save my girls from having to be my guinea pigs! :)

On Wednesday since we had all the snow, I stayed home with the girls and decided to curl Natalie's hair. It turned out beautiful, but fell out pretty quickly since I didn't put any product in it since it was a spur of the moment thing and I didn't want to have to wash all that junk out! So, again, I took more pictures :)

Of course with Valentine's Day coming up, I snuck in a quick (yet painful) shoot with the girls today. My girls have not been very good listeners today so I should not have pushed the picture taking, but since I have the day off and our weekend is busy, plus Natalie's party is the following weekend, it was really my only shot!  Luckily I was able to get a couple good shots (in my opinion) even though Aubrey was the one that wanted nothing to do with the camera today!  Thankful for Photoshop! Natalie has been awesome with the picture taking lately! Bribing helps :)

Photo Bomber!

I love the picture above, but below is a before/after to show what I really got while I was taking pictures!  Thank you, Photoshop!  I'll spare you all the other outtakes!

Happy early Valentine's Day!
