Oh my! That's all I really have to say about how my day started!
Last night I went into the office (at work) to synch my computer so it would be ready to go to start my first day back to work. Well, after almost 1.5 hours, I decided to just leave my computer at work, plugged in, so it would be ready in the morning. Amanda was to be here at 9am. Since I had no patients scheduled yet, since none were assigned to me, I figured 9 would be good for me to start calling any patients I got assigned to and potentially see them the same day.
Getting up for work wasn't a problem at all and Natalie slept again for 10 hours! Yay! After pumping and getting out of the shower, I received a text from my sister close to 8:30am saying that for me not to be mad at her, but that she was just leaving Indy. Now, it takes much longer than 30 minutes to get to Terre Haute. Sometime after 9:30am she rolled into our driveway. Meanwhile, I was on the phone with my boss getting all the details from a meeting I missed, that I had no idea was scheduled! Oops! Supposedly, she sent a text to me on the 23rd telling me about this meeting, but since my phone has been off since February 17th, it never came through. Luckily, she wasn't upset and she gave me 4 patients. My work phone was also acting super crazy and would just shut off, not turn on, just freeze...very irritating! Since my computer was still at the office, after Amanda got to the house and Natalie woke up, I was off to deal with the computer. TWO hours later, I finally got the computer working and was able to call my 4 patients (1 of which no longer wanted OT), and the other 3 didn't want OT until Thursday. So, I had no patients today or any scheduled tomorrow, all 3 on Thursday, so it was pretty pointless for Amanda to come down at all right now, but what can you do.
At one point during the whole ordeal, I dropped my personal iPhone at the office, in which it stated I had no SIM card connected. So, my work phone sucks and wouldn't work, as well as my personal phone not letting me call or do anything because it had no SIM card. I was getting extremely stressed/irritated by this point and I think God realized this and gave me a break, so miraculously my iPhone started working...thank goodness! Then, I met Bobby for lunch at the hospital since I had nothing better to do with no patients scheduled and during lunch a big server went down, so he was working from his phone all throughout lunch...how enjoyable! He was able to fix my work phone though. Now all I need him to do is when he gets home try to get my work computer to synch from home once again.
I feel like I've been gone from work for over a year! I told Bobby that if this was any indication of how my work life was going to be from here on out that I am going to quit! He just laughs, but I was being serious! Hopefully things smooth over and will go more in my favor. I love technology and all the cool things you can do with it, but sometimes it's a bigger pain in my rear than it's worth! Oh and to top it all off, all this chaos that happened today, I didn't even get paid for it since I only get paid per patient visit. No patients = $0 :( Things can only go up, right?!
I'm hoping that as the day goes along, it gets better instead of worse, especially since we are supposed to hear about the home we put an offer on!
I am happy to say that I did not cry leaving Natalie this morning, probably because she was with my sister and not some stranger! It will be really hard when I have to take her to daycare:( But until then I will just be grateful that my sister was willing to dedicate a big chunk of her summer to Natalie. She loves you for it Amanda! And so do I!

Tribute to Great Great Grandma Frick
Today my mom called and said that my Great Grandma Frick (Natalie's great-great grandma) passed away. She was 92, and I know without a doubt she is in a much better and happier place! I have anticipated this to happen for some time since she broke her hip this winter. I wanted to dedicate today's blog to some pictures we had recently taken of her. I am so happy that she got to meet Natalie on Easter weekend and we all had a great visit (well everyone but my dad who unfortunately was not feeling well that day)!

Memorial Day Weekend
We haven't done anything fun so far for Memorial Day weekend, mostly because we have been trying to get the house in order to put on the market. Bobby finished the backyard: mulching, leveling our decorative bricks, getting the pond opened and looking nice, and weeding. I have been inside trying to touch up the paint on all the trim, trying to pack up some stuff, deep cleaned the kitchen and worked on the bathroom, and painted the front porch railings (took FOREVER!!!). The outside is looking nice, but the inside still needs a lot of de-cluttering.
However, when you have a husband like mine..that can be hard to do since he digs through the trash after I throw stuff away! Seriously, who does that? He says I throw perfectly good stuff away. For example, yesterday I threw away candy from Christmas that neither of us liked...obviously since it's still in the cupboard...he dug that out (it was still in the box). Next, I threw away magnets that I made in college (the ones that you cut out magazine pictures, glue them to a fishbowl marble/stone, then glue a magnet on them and voila! you have a magnet) that no longer held things well to the refrigerator...he dug those out. Lastly, he picked out a chip clip magnet that I got for free at an OT convention that I no longer wanted. He's seriously crazy! He does this ALL the time, so from now on I should make sure I throw stuff away while he is at work and then cover it with something gross so he won't dig stuff out! Can we say hoarders?! Therefore, de-cluttering may be difficult for Bobby since he obviously likes to keep EVERYTHING! I do admit that sometimes I do throw away stuff that should just be given to Goodwill, and I am working on it, but come on Bobby...stop digging stuff out of the trash!
We put an offer on a new construction house built by high school students during the school year (obviously with close supervision of experienced teachers) on Thursday. Our offer gave the "committee" until 12(noon) Saturday to accept/reject/counter our offer. However, we will not know anything until late Tuesday afternoon/early evening since they don't have enough people for a quorum to vote since it's a holiday weekend. Needless to say, we were pretty bummed that we didn't get an answer yet, so we are patiently waiting! Since the house was built by the students, there is a committee that has to approve our offer. We are really excited because if we get this house, we get to pick out all the paint colors and appliances (all included in the purchase). The house has 3 bedrooms, 2 baths with a 3 car garage and super open concept like we have been looking for. It also has an unfinished basement that we plan on finishing, with 2 egress windows, so technically we could put 2 more bedrooms downstairs, but plan on only putting 1 downstairs when we get to the basement.
Our plan is to put our house up for sale this week if our offer is accepted on Tuesday! We are praying our house sells quickly once it's on the market!
Natalie has been so good during the whole process of getting our house ready, allowing Bobby and I to do quite a bit, except tonight she wouldn't let Bobby put her down for anything. She just wanted to have some 'daddy time.' Today, while I was painting the front porch railings, she started stirring in her nursery (she had fallen asleep on her belly after rolling over on her playmat) and when I went in to check on her, she was on her back. So, I think she will soon be not only rolling on her belly from her back (she does very easily now), but onto her back from her belly.
She is growing so fast! She is also starting to grab/reach for toys on occasion as well! Oh, and I'm hoping we have the sleeping routine down for now because she is sleeping through the night again! As I write this little tidbit, she has already been sleeping for 10 hours straight! She must have been one worn out little girl! We have been blessed with such a beautiful baby girl and I thank God every day for her!

Becoming a Rolling Over Pro
Natalie is becoming a pro at rolling over to her left side from her back to belly. I think every time she is in her crib and I go to get her up she is in a totally different position than where I laid her originally. I was finally able to capture her on video twice. She rolled over 3 times in less than a 30 minute span. Way to go, baby girl!!!

Rolling Over and Diaper Rash
We had a good weekend with my parents and sister! My parents got into Terre Haute around 3p on Friday after taking a motorcycle trip to Texas, then up through Arkansas, and back to Indiana. I am so grateful that they had stayed in Joplin, Missouri on their way down to Texas last weekend, and weren't there last night since Joplin had a devastating tornado go through. We got to look at pictures from their trip, and it looks like they had a great time, and looks like it will be a fun family trip if we can all swing it at the same time!
Friday we had a co-ed softball game, so my parents watched Natalie while we played. She was good the whole time and enjoyed cheering on her mommy and daddy:) We won, so that's good since it was the first game of the season for the hospital league. After the game, we met Matt and Amanda for dinner at Mogger's, which was really good and we all had a great time. Natalie is so spoiled! Grandma and Grandpa bought her clothes, as did Auntie Amanda. She got a neon green Harley dress that she'll be able to wear this summer and a onesie that says "Little Stinker" with a cute skunk and paw prints on her butt. Story behind the "Little Stinker" onesie is because one of the first texts I sent my parents after Natalie was born said she was such a stinker because the lactation consultant couldn't even get her to latch. Amanda bought her a really cute outfit (see in pictures) with an interesting wrap around shirt and a pretty pink dress from a store she has been dying to buy something from for as long as I can remember. Of course, Grandma and Auntie Amanda played dress up with Natalie just to see everything on her. She can basically wear everything right now but the Harley dress, but has some room to grow in all the others as well.
The weather was beautiful this weekend in Terre Haute, summerlike. On Saturday, us girls (minus Natalie), went to see the movie 'Bridesmaids' while Grandpa babysat Natalie, Matt drove back to Indy, and Bobby worked from home. The original intention was the girls were going to bond while the guys did the same, but as you can see, that didn't happen. Oh well!
After the movie, our realtor had called me about possibly going to see a couple of houses he came across, so while Grandma babysat Natalie, Bobby, my dad, Amanda, and me all took a drive to see the 2 houses. The first house was really nice, but on a horrible lot that was definitely not functional for kids since the backyard was basically an upward hill and the front was a downward hill. The 2nd house was much farther south and was pretty crappy. Then, we drove my dad and sister to go see the house I love with the awesome backyard with inground pool, but I'll only be dreaming about that one because Bobby is pretty adamant that he doesn't want it. At least the one he really liked that I thought was a 'dump' with potential, he got a bad feeling about so we aren't going to get that one either. My opinion is we should just put a lowball offer on the one I really like and just see what happens. I'm so sick of this househunting game, mostly because Bobby and I NEVER agree on any of them! It's getting really frustrating and annoying.
We wound up at Sam's Club before heading home and it was taste-testing day, so we basically all had a light meal before heading home to grill out. We had Rebekah (our neighbor) and her mom over for dinner as well, but the bugs and mosquitos were awful! Eventually had to take Natalie inside because they were so bad. I got bit on my ear and behind my ear, while everyone else got bit up as well.
Sunday, my parents headed home early in the morning to avoid getting stuck in the rain on their bikes (which they did avoid), Matt came down shortly after my parents left to pick up Amanda and their dog to go back to Indy, Natalie and I took a nap, and Bobby started working in the yard. After my nap, I started outside to trim everything in the front of our house since it was looking like a jungle with all the rain we've had. It looks a ton better, now just have to lay down some mulch. Bobby got the little pond and gutters in order in the backyard.
While we were in the yard working, Natalie napped. I laid her on her back, but by the time we got back into the house, she had gotten herself onto her stomach. She has been doing this more often, where we won't find her in the position we left her, especially in a position that she would have had to rolled over to get into. However, she is very shy about rolling over with an audience because were have yet to actually see her roll over, until last night. I got up to feed her around 3:30am or so (I really wish she would get back to sleeping through the night because that was so much nicer!). While I was pumping after she ate and got changed, I looked over in the crib and noticed she had rolled herself over. After pumping, I rolled her back onto her back and just watched her because she was trying her darndest to roll to her left. I was recording it, but then she slowed down and the video was getting to be too long, so I stopped the video and guess what!? She rolled over right after I stopped recording, but at least I finally got to see it! She basically tries and tries until she eventually flings her body over. I was so happy to finally get to see it happen and not see her after she does it!
About a week ago, she started getting diaper rash from wearing Huggies (she had gotten diaper rash when in newborn Huggies as well), so I switched her into Pampers Sensitive, but that cleared it up some, but then it seemed to come back again. I have put different creams on her as well, and let her "air out" yesterday with nothing on, but she still has it. I even switched to Pampers Baby Dry as well to see if that would help, but still has it. It isn't getting any worse, and I am hoping it gets better soon. Poor girl, I know it can't feel good!

3 Months Old Today!!!
I cannot get over how quickly time is going by! Originally I was supposed to start back to work this week, but won't be starting back until May 31st when Amanda is done with school and can come down to watch Natalie 3 days a week. The closer it gets to heading back to work, the sadder I get. Deep down I get a little angry too and probably take it out on Bobby indirectly since I kind of blame him for making me go back, even though our agreement the whole pregnancy was for me to go back to work part-time. At least I will only be part-time, at least that is what I keep telling myself to make it all seem better. I'm hoping that once I get back into the swing of things it won't be so bad.
Natalie is growing like crazy, but we won't go back to the pediatrician for another month to find out how much she weighs, etc. She is such a doll and I just look at her every day in awe of what Bobby and I made. Babies are so amazing, I can't believe we all started off so small and have grown into what we are today. God sure is amazing! Almost a year ago, we found out that we were pregnant with this special little lady. Things sure have changed in the Andreae household!
I gave her a bath today in her little baby tub and took her picture. It is crazy how much she has grown in just a couple of months!
We couldn't be more blessed and the love for her I have is crazy! She is cooing more and more and occasionally will laugh, but smiles all the time. She has gotten away from sleeping through the night, but hopefully that trend does not continue. When I got her out of her crib this morning, she was on her tummy (she got herself on her tummy). She still hasn't conquered rolling from her back to her stomach quite yet, but we do find her sleeping on her side often now. She is also controlling her head better and better and lifting it up higher for longer periods of time when she lays on her belly.
Happy 3 Months, Natalie! We love you more and more each day!
