I remember using my bubble mower back in the day and the girls are loving using it after Aubrey got it for her birthday! Brings back memories! Natalie prefers to push it and Aubrey prefers to chase the bubbles. Now I just need to make/buy more bubble solution!

Impromptu Zoo Trip
My sister texted me last night around 11p, saying the girls needed to see their Auntie and we should either go to the zoo or Splash Island. I was unsure if we should go or not because Mondays are usually a "chill" day and after staining the fence yesterday, staying at home sounded like a good idea, plus I have a lot of cleaning, etc to do inside. However, I decided to make the trip. We got to the zoo around 12:30/1 and didn't leave until around 4. It was HOT and HUMID and really compared to previous summers it wasn't really all that bad, but with the mild temps we've been having, today was just hot! We all had a great time, plus there is a splash park in the zoo, so of course we did that. We also saw the tail end of the dog show and the newest exhibit, the orangutans!!! The facility is beautiful but super crowded of course since it is brand new. We didn't get a great view of them since the windows were swarmed by people, but at least Natalie got upclose and personal since she is so small and could find her way to the front! The one I actually got to take a picture of looked so sad, but according to his sign of info, he is supposedly considered the most handsome/attractive in the orangutan world!
It was a great day and I'm glad we went.

Happy Father's Day 2014!
This wasn't our typical "holiday." Bobby had taken this week off of work to do things around the house, with the main thing being power washing and staining our fence we put in 2 years ago. This fence has been quite the project!!! More for Bobby than me, but I did help stain it today. It took much longer to power wash, but it was completed tonight! It didn't help that I threw in a storm/screen door at the last minute that I wanted Bobby to install at our backdoor. We are both glad we got it and he was able to install it all by himself, just put us a little behind schedule! I'd say it was a very productive week!
The girls had fun in their pool!
Finished the night by watching Frozen...twins?! :)
Usually each Father's Day, I try to get a good picture of Bobby with the girls, but that just didn't fit in the agenda today, so that will have to be put on my to-do list!
Bobby, I am so thankful for your patience and fun-loving attitude when it comes to the girls! They adore you and I couldn't ask for a better Daddy for them. You put up with all the girlie things they ask you to do and of course I think it is adorable to watch. Thank you for always being there for them and each activity they do! They love you more than words and so do I. Happy Father's Day!

Family Vacation: Part 4
Friday was our last full day and it was kind of a "free" day where we could do whatever we wanted because we didn't have anything really planned.
Bobby and I took the girls to the Durango Community Recreation Center which was big with LOTS to do, but we went specifically for the indoor/outdoor splash park. The girls had a great time. Their favorite thing was the castle inside that had a slide on each side.
Then, after naptime, we headed to Downtown Durango again, this time during the day.
Saturday, we headed home...or at least got on the road to make the 19 hour drive back towards home. Matt and Amanda had to leave early to catch a flight in Denver. My parents attempted to do the Million Dollar Skyway again, but do to incompetent workers, they were allowed all the way to the construction site...given the okay by the flagger...only to be turned away with literally a half mile to go before they were to the other side of the construction, which they got to with 5 minutes to spare. My dad was not a happy camper to say the least, so we ended up following each other to some place in Kansas for the night.

We met the friendliest chipmunks...
The entire drive we were following a storm, but luckily we drove just along its edge and my parents didn't get too wet. We got to see a beautiful rainbow which turned into a double rainbow for miles and miles!
We got home at midnight on Sunday. The girls sure were troopers on this trip! We did have to wash Natalie's carseat on the way out to Colorado even though she had a pull-up on at that time, she must have really had to go! She did great telling us when she had to go potty, but it was usually in the middle of nowhere or only 5 minutes after we had just left. Our neighbors were probably glad we were finally home because our grass was just a "little" bit high :)
We had a great vacation with family! Can't wait to do it again!
