Bobby's Baptism

This has been a long time coming...

Bobby was baptized as an infant, but has never made the decision to be baptized by immersion. Today, after being in a C-group (small group) with our senior pastor for the past 6 months or so, he made the leap of faith to publicly proclaim his faith. I'm very proud of him, as are so many others, as he had a very large cheering section at church today.  Congratulations, Bobby, for taking one step closer to Christ!

It was a big deal, too, for our senior pastor to get into the tank with Bobby today, as he doesn't normally perform the baptisms at church.

It was also special that Natalie was able to watch her Daddy get baptized, even if she was more enthralled with him being on the big screen at church. However, a few of the other kids from our c-group families got to participate in watching Bobby's baptism, which I'm sure has now brought up the important conversation in their households about what baptism is and what is means to be baptized.

We love you, Bobby and can't wait to see you grow even more in your faith!

Happy 2nd Birthday, Sweet Aubrey!

I can't believe Aubrey is already TWO! She will always be our "baby," but is no longer an 'official' baby and is now a toddler! She definitely has a mind of her own and wants things done her way, but she is also my cuddler, at least with me she is. I will miss the days when she no longer wants to cuddle.

She is definitely a mama's girl!

She loves playing with any type of ball.

She loves bubbles.

She could care less about TV or movies.

She likes my iPhone, of course.

Her favorite phrases are: I want down, I want out, I want up...anything that says I want...imagine that...lol

Her favorite words are: 'nana' for banana, 'wawa' for water, outside, flower, purple, that, sissy, baby, and mine

She has really come a long way with her words, and although others may not always understand her, we have come to understand her words quite well. She still has a long way to go, but at least we are over the screeching/screaming phase...for the most part anyway.

She loves to dance to music...not any specific songs really.

She loves her blankie and we are in trouble if we leave home without it.

She is our good sleeper and very routine, I will also be sad when this phase is over.

Unlike her sister, she has not tried to climb out of her crib yet or removed all clothing including her diaper while she is supposed to be sleeping...knock on wood that this remains true!

Size 2T clothing is still too large for her sometimes, and she has almost outgrown her 18 month clothes. She is in size 4 diapers and one foot is a size 5, while the other is a size 5.5.

Her official doctor stats won't be until July, but I know she weighs 23.8 pounds.
Happy Birthday sweet girl!  We love you so much!

It was really hard for me to come up with a theme for her party since she really isn't into any characters. She will point out Elmo and Dora consistently, but doesn't really care about watching them, so I decided to go with a TWO sweet/sweet shoppe theme. She is definitely our dessert eater, so why not have a party themed around everything sweet?! came together well...I really do love party planning!

The cookies were from Bites and Blessings...cute and yummy!
The cupcakes were from Christina's Simply Sweet Creations...as always, fabulous!

It was so nice to have the party outside and have the kids run around and play in the bounce house and sprinklers...we definitely can't do that for Natalie's parties in February!

My sister made these adorable shoes

It's my party and I'll cry if I want to...

Birthday shoot idea...
