2 Year and 9 Month Stats

Both girls did great at the appointment. Thank goodness because I am still feeling under the weather, so maybe they sensed that?! :)

No shots for Aubrey, but Natalie had to ger her very last shot before she goes to Kindergarten!  She didn't flinch or cry!  She is becoming such a big girl. She has been so good at taking her medicine for the last few months too, no more pinning her down, she just drinks it right up. We didn't change anything other than tell her to take her medicine like a 'big girl' and now she's a champ every time!

I still cannot believe she didn't cry or even wimper when she got her shot. I'm so proud of her!

Developmentally, both girls are on track. Although Aubrey seems farther behind compared to Natalie at the same age, the doctor says she is still in the window for being on track.

Natalie ~Age 2~

Height: 2'10 1/2" (between 50 and 75 percentile)
Weight: 26 lb (between 25 and 50 percentile)

Aubrey ~9 Months~

Height: 27 1/2"(between 25 and 50 percentile)
Weight: 17 pounds 9.6 oz (between 10 and 25 percentile)
Head Circumference: 17 1/2"(50 percentile)

I thought for sure Aubrey was going to fly by Natalie's 9 month stats, but she is really, really close in comparison: Natalie was 17lb 3 oz and 27" at her 9 month check-up.

Happy 9 Months, Aubrey!

Our little baby is getting so big!  Pretty soon I will be planning her 1st birthday...say it isn't so!

She was not really interested in having her pictures taken today, and my little assistant, Natalie, was not assisting too well either!  Haha!

No one in our house is really feeling that great. I am the last to get this bug, whatever it is, and it is just making me feel blah!  Our whole house took a nap from about 1:30-3:30p. Aubrey has slept a lot today...She got up around 7:30a, ate, then slept until 12:30p, and again from 1:30-3:30p, she is now napping again at 5:30p. I hope this doesn't mean I am in for a late night because I need my sleep too to knock out this bug going around!

Oh how fast time goes by...

My lovely assistant, Natalie :)

Who couldn't love those lips?!

Rusty wanted his picture taken too!

We go for the girls' well-check (sick-checks now since they have been sick all week) tomorrow morning, so I will update their weight/height stats tomorrow.

What Aubrey can do at 9 months:
1. Army crawl
2. Get up on her knees and rock...closer and closer to a girl on the move. Our lives as we know it is over!  Haha!
3. Wears size 3 diapers
4. Wears 9 month clothes
5. Likes to spit
6. Likes all foods right now
7. Still no teeth, but 1 has been trying to break through for a month now.
8. Forget the pacifier, Aubrey prefers sucking/chewing on fabric to soothe herself to sleep.
9. HATES wearing her winter coat, especially in the carseat.
10. She laughs/smiles all the time.
11. Bobby and I often joke that Aubrey and Natalie have reversed roles, and Aubrey is our easy one, while Natalie is our more complicated one.

Pacers Fun

We went to a Indiana Pacers game last night which was fun and something we've never done.  The girls were excellent...Natalie, especially, had a blast! She was dancing to the music, clapping, watching, and just having an overall good time. Amanda and Matt went with us as well, so it was nice to hang out with them...I know Natalie and Aubrey enjoyed having them there too!

Here is what happens when we tried to get a family pic...haha!

Aubrey is starting to get more mobile by Army crawling mostly everywhere she would like. She is also getting up on her knees and starting the rocking motion on her own so it's only a matter of time before we have a crawler on our hands!  She turns 9 months tomorrow!

Video of Aubrey rocking:

Bobby is becoming quite the Handyman...he hung our TV up on the wall in our bedroom, as well installing a new outlet behind the TV so no cords are hanging down and he built this lovely piece for our guest/kids bathroom. I love it!  Thanks to Pinterest and Bobby's skills!  Now I just need to figure out what to put on the shelf to decorate!

Natalie's 2 Year Pictures

Although it was windy, it was above average for temperature so I was able to take Natalie outside to take some pictures. She picked out her Elmo outfit to wear, but wasn't very cooperative. So, after her nap, I took more pictures. She was hilarious during the 2nd set because she started dancing...love that girl!

Happy 2nd Birthday, Natalie Lynne!

The last 2 years have sure flown by!  I cannot get over the fact that we have a 2 year old in our house...

Today started off a little rough for Natalie and I really wanted to just play the song, "It's my party and I'll cry if I want to!" Although we had her party last weekend, the song really would have been appropriate today because she woke up whiny and it continued until midday.

We were in South Bend because Bobby's sister, Kristen, and Alexis/Evan were home from Maryland. We decided to make a quick trip up after swim lessons on Saturday and then leave Sunday morning so we could celebrate Natalie's birthday at the Indy Children's Museum.

We had ANOTHER poop incident last night...WITH a onesie on...grrr!  I think we really need to pray about this whole situation because Bobby and I are both at our wits end. Now, our last solution is for Natalie to ONLY sleep with a backwards sleeper on. I guess I'll be ruining several pairs by cutting off the feet.

Anyway, back to Natalie's birthday today...

After eating breakfast at Bobby's parent's house, we headed to Indy for a fun day. Although Natalie only took a 30-45 minute nap (we wished it would have been longer) it was enough to turn her day around into a happy one!  We stopped and ate lunch at Culver's in Kokomo...Natalie had her most recent favorite: Grilled Cheese, Aubrey ate the applesauce Natalie refused to eat, and got a special, yummy oreo ice cream sandwich for dessert.

We met Aunt Amanda and Uncle Matt at the Children's Museum. I was thinking that today wouldn't be too busy considering that tomorrow is a free day at the museum because school's are out for President's Day, but boy was I wrong...it was a zoo!  Natalie had a great time even with how crowded it was, and so did we!

My goal for tomorrow is to take some semi-professional looking pictures and post Natalie's updates and favorites at 2 years old. We don't go to the doctor for her 2 year appointment until next Monday, so as long as I get her update/favorites post up between now and then, I will feel like I'm doing pretty good!

She loved playing the drums with the Egyptian woman

Future archeologist...

Her favorite pastime...sucking/chewing on blankets!
Natalie finished her night off with jumping in the bounce house at home and fell asleep while sitting on Daddy's lap, taking her breathing treatment (started them up again just in case since she has a very icky runny nose again). She was one tired girl!

She also got 2 special phone calls today with messages singing Natalie 'Happy Birthday' from Aunt Krista and Grandma/Grandpa Brodzinski who are somewhere floating in the ocean on their cruise!  Natalie started singing 'Happy Birthday' to herself after each of those messages :)

Happy 2nd Birthday, Natalie!  I hope you had a very fun day!  Lots of people sent messages/cards your way. You sure are very special. My wish for you this coming year is that you slow down all the growing you are doing!

Natalie's 2nd Birthday Party!

...was a HUGE success!  The Curious George theme turned out so cute and we had a great turnout. Also, the bounce house was a huge hit, too!

Natalie~I hope you always know how loved you are by so many people. You have such a great personality. You are fun, energetic, beautiful, and smart. I hope you never change because you are just so full of life!  Your laugh is contagious and I wish I had just a tiny bit of the amount of energy you have!  I cannot wait to see all the new things you learn this coming year and to see what a beautiful young girl you continue to become!  Please know Mommy and Daddy love you very much!

Just prior to the party, Natalie poked me in the eye and it hurt really bad!  I thought for sure she scratched it and it watered the entire party!  I tried making my own "eyepatch" thinking blocking the light would help, but it didn't do much. Luckily, we know our optometrist personally and he was able to give me advice which really helped and I feel much better today!  I actually took a 2 hour nap after the party was over because I went to lay down to rest my eye...guess my whole body needed a nap!

Lots of thanks to my family for helping out with the set-up of the party and especially the clean-up while I napped!

I always feel bad during parties because there is always so much going on and I feel like I can't give all our guests attention, but want them all to know how much we appreciate them taking time to come to Natalie's party. She had a blast and went bananas! :)
