Fowler Park

Tonight was a bit unusual for us. I was asked to take photos for someone. I was really nervous because I never take photos for money and have only really taken "family" photos for 1 other family in the past, other than my own. The brother/sister were 11 and 15, so MUCH easier than taking pictures of my kids...ugh.

I had Bobby come along so the girls could play on the playground (well, Natalie anyway) and then have his assistance to take their pictures at Fowler Park (great place)!  I also packed a picnic dinner, which was a fun change. The girls definitely did not want to cooperate!

Here is a sample of the brother/sister duo I took pictures of tonight. The brother is all boy, but was a good sport. His sister is absolutely gorgeous!

After taking these photos, I think I would really love doing senior photography...little kids like mine are quite difficult!

Here is a sampling of the pictures I got of my girls:

These first 3 pictures crack me up because they are both doing the exact same thing!  Walnuts/acorns are much more exciting than looking at the camera!

Aubrey's face is hilarious!

This is a good representation of their height difference.

Notice they both have their tongues hanging out of their mouths...just like their Daddy!

Bobby got to play too!

Monkey Joe's

We had plans to head to the Indy zoo today for a playdate with Cassie and her son, Gavin, but the weather had other plans. Instead, we ended up at Monkey Joe's, which is an indoor bounce house. Gavin and Natalie had fun, I think they just liked the open space to run more than anything. Afterwards, we headed to Chick-Fil-A for lunch because of how kid-friendly they are. We got awesome service. As soon as we walked in, one of the staff offered to bring over 3 high chairs and take our order at the table, plus deliver our food...now that is service. Another reason I LOVE Chick-Fil-A and am so glad we are getting one finally in Terre Haute...however, that's a bad thing too!

I was exhausted from the weekend of not sleeping, since Aubrey didn't sleep well at all. Then, on top of already being tired, both girls woke up super early!  Luckily, by the time we got home, both girls took a nap, which means this mommy did too!  Even though I should go to bed instead of blog, I just can't get my body to go to bed at a decent time.

Tonight, I got the idea for Natalie to give Aubrey her nighttime bottle since Natalie was playing with her baby doll and feeding it. They sat there the entire time together, it was so cute. I think Natalie really liked having a 'real life' baby doll!

I finally connected my phone to my computer, so here is a phone dump of random photos:

This girl LOVES dirt!

Indy Mini 2013

We were in Indy this weekend for the Indy Mini Marathon. Bobby and his cousin ran, as well as many others that we know. No injuries this year and it was perfect temps for running. A little chilly for spectators, but the rain held off so it was great.

Later that night, my mom watched the girls (THANK YOU!) so we could go out to Howl at the Moon, a dueling piano bar. We had a good time and ended the night having dinner at the Ram. I went back to Matt and Amanda's house, while Bobby, his cousin, and friend stayed at the hotel. After the race, we did go back to the hotel to swim, then headed to lunch. Natalie slept all through lunch (in the stroller)...this NEVER happens!  She got in a good nap though.

On the other hand, Aubrey slept awful this weekend, waking up multiple times at night...yippee for me and my mom since we were all in the same room at Amanda and Matt's house. She is sick and is now on antibiotics and Zyrtec. She missed daycare all last week. I stayed home Tuesday and Bobby was luckily able to stay home Wednesday and Thursday. So far (fingers crossed), Natalie hasn't gotten it. I took Natalie to the doctor on Friday just to make sure because she's sometimes wheezy/crackly when she breathes, but the NP said it was just allergies.  Luckily, no medicine for Natalie.

Sunday, us girls, went back to the hotel to swim with Bobby before check-out. Then, we made an unexpected trip to see a high school musical of Charlie Brown that James' girlfriend, Amanda, teaches at and she conducted the orchestra.  Aubrey was too loud and fidgety, so most of her time was out in the lobby, but Natalie enjoyed herself.

Way to go, guys!!  We are proud of you.

Seeing all the runners, made me want to get back out to running like I did last year...hopefully that bug sticks!
