Austin ~ 3 Months

Happy 3 Months, Austin!

He has been smiling more and more, but also getting fussy more and more. It seems to be gas issues like Aubrey had, but not quite as bad. So far, gripe water is helping some and holding him facing out with pressure on his belly is helping.

We moved him to his crib, which is in the playroom. The girls have been learning quickly that they need to clean up all of their toys and that they can't play in the toy room while he is sleeping in there. I was hoping he would sleep better once moved in there, but that hasn't been the case. I'm still getting up at least 2 times a night.

He doesn't go to the doctor until next month, but I weighed him on our scale.

Weight: 12 pounds

He is still wearing size 1 diapers, but is slowly transitioning into 6 month clothes, which makes me sad because he's getting bigger. Bobby has no sympathy toward me and just says he doesn't understand why I'm sad because Austin was born big...haha!

Likes: his mommy, being held facing outward, his carseat, his fisher-price piano activity mat and the hanging elephant toy, Christmas tree lights, his sisters and their singing, going to sleep with his pacifier, he's also starting to grab fabric and try to put it in his mouth just like his sister, Aubrey!

Dislikes: gassy belly, being hungry and wet, his sister's hair tickling his face; tummy time

As you can see, he is loving grabbing onto things now.

Milestones: can roll on his side, but not from back to belly quite yet; starting to discover his feet; smiling, cooing and some giggling; grabbing for objects; getting better control of his head every day

That's a wrap!

St Louis

A couple weekends ago, we headed to St. Louis to see Bobby's family and so Bobby and the guys could go to the Rams game.

We had a great trip, which was delayed by a day because Aubrey was randomly running a fever on Friday, but luckily it cleared up and she has been fever free since. The last we had seen his family was at his dad's funeral and it had been years before that. We had a great time and stayed busy the whole time.

The original plan was to go to their church's Journey to Bethlehem on Saturday evening, but after having dinner and going to the church to see that we would be waiting in line for at least a couple hours, we decided we would stay later in St. Louis to try and go to it on Sunday evening instead. Luckily we did because we were some of the first people there for Sunday and the girls enjoyed it very much!

It was so nice spending time with all of them, and especially getting to see Nikki and Mimi since neither of them could make the trip to Indiana in October. Austin was super fussy on Saturday and only wanted me to hold him (imagine that), but then seemed to chill out more on Sunday.

The girls even got gifts, which was so thoughtful of them. They were great hosts and we can't wait to visit again!

We tried Jilly's cupcakes as well. They were yummy, but very pricey. However, one cupcake can easily serve 2 people and 3 if you are mainly just wanting to try them.

Austin slept through the whole thing!

We enjoyed listening to Nikki sing!

Happy Thanksgiving 2015!

...almost didn't get this posted  before Christmas! Haha!

We have been blessed with so much! We have great family and friends and have so much to be thankful for!

We spent the long weekend up north with our families. Thursday was packed full with lunch at my family's house and then dinner at Bobby's.

Austin was pretty fussy all weekend unless I was holding him and the girls were wild & crazy pretty much all weekend, too!

The rest of the weekend we went to see the Peanuts movie, which was very cute and I will be buying it when it is released. Aubrey did slightly better than her first movie, but still wandered in our aisle between mine and my mom's lap. This was Austin's first movie (haha) and he slept the entire time in his carseat.

On Saturday, I took Amanda's in-laws family photos and then they stuck around so her father-in-law could take an updated family photo of our family, which hasn't been updated since Natalie was a baby...so over 4 years ago!

As if family photos weren't enough, I also took pictures of the kids in their cute Christmas outfits my parents bought. They were over pictures so this is as good as we got!

Yep! This pretty much sums it up! LOL
