Rehearsal Day!

Friday was a busy day and ended with a great display of love.

Friday, Natalie was with Bobby and his family while my mom, the bride-to-be, and I were all having a girls' day by getting pedicures and Amanda got a massage.

Since Amanda's colors were lime green and black, I decided to get my toes painted to match the wedding and loved how they turned out!

Don't mind the look of my feet, but I loved the color!

Natalie had a super cute black and white onesie with an attached tutu! She looked adorable!

We had a little photo-op prior to heading to the rehearsal...

We headed up to Silver Beach, Michigan for the rehearsal and it went smoothly and quickly!

I have no idea what my dad is doing in this picture, but I can tell you the end result was not a punch to Matt's cheek :)

After rehearsal, we headed to the rehearsal dinner where we had awesome food and good fellowship!

Constipation

Natalie has been doing awesome with bedtime for over a week and a half now...that is until tonight! Poor little girl is constipated!  Her poop was harder each time today and her poor little face turns bright red every time she was trying to have a bowel movement!  (I'm sure she is going to love that I wrote about this when she is older!)  Now that I am completely out of breastmilk and no longer pumping, the combination of formula and eating solids has not settled well with Miss Natalie.

However, she does seem to like squash much better than she liked carrots!  Instead of rice today, she had some oatmeal and seemed to like that as well. I "Googled" 'constipation' in a 5 month old that said to introduce pears or prunes or to give 1 oz of juice (pear or prune) with 1 oz of water. I didn't have these, so we did 1 oz of apple juice with 1 oz of water, which of course she wouldn't take until it was warmed up!  But, once it was warmed up, she seemed to enjoy it. Hopefully, doing this once a day will help her constipation. Hopefully, she will go to bed soon too (she is wearing Mommy out tonight)!

Tonight when I was at Walmart, as I was pulling into the parking lot I got to thinking...before having a baby I would park nowhere near a spot that had a cart in it that someone had left because it annoyed me, but now I am elated when I pull into a parking spot that has a cart already there. Reason being that I can just plop Natalie in her carseat in the cart and head on into the store instead of lugging it up to the building before placing her in the cart. I will be happy when she is doing well sitting up unsupported and I can put her in the cart and not even have to deal with the carseat since that thing gets super heavy!

Tonight, Bobby and Tim got everything out of our storage unit and it is now in the garage until we have time to put stuff away which probably won't be until next week or so. I picked up the blinds I ordered and can't wait to put them up, which again probably won't be until next week or longer (I hope next week but with the crazy hours Bobby has been working who knows). A guy came and mowed our sad looking dirt-filled, weedy yard tonight which I was grateful because coming home and looking at our awful yard (which will be awful until probably next year) really stresses me out for some reason!  I can't wait until we have some "free time" to get our house completely organized!

I think we have almost everything ready and packed to head up to South Bend tomorrow to begin the Brodzinski-Davis wedding festivities!  I'm seeing many pictures in my next couple of posts!

Oh yeah...Natalie is still awake and "talking up a storm!"  I really hope she falls asleep soon!!!!!!

Happy 5 Months!

Today Natalie is 5 months old!  We spent the day at the Brodzinski Family Reunion and spent yesterday at cousin Lexi's 4th Birthday party in South Bend.

Natalie can now roll over like crazy ( I see crawling in the near future)! She is sleeping through the night consistently, going to bed between 9 and 10 and waking around 8am. She is still is size 1 diapers, but also fits well in size 1-2 diapers. She can still wear 0-3 month clothes, but some of her onesies, sleepers and pants are getting too snug. However, most 3-6 month pants are too big, but Carters 6 month pants/shorts fit OK. She has discovered her voice and loves to "talk" now. She also has found her feet and has fun holding onto them. I don't think she's so crazy about food quite yet, but tolerated carrots this last week. Next is sweet potatoes or squash. She is growing so fast!

We love you, baby girl!

Natalie next to a picture of Bobby at 3 months old. She definitely has many similarities to Bobby (not going to lie...makes me a little sad because I wish she looked more like me!)
