Indy Zoo in April

We took full advantage of the warm weather today and headed to the Indy Zoo. I decided to buy a membership, so there will be many future trips to the zoo as well.

My parents drove to TN this weekend, but drove to Indy separately so my mom could stay in Indy an extra day and head to the zoo with us. We had fun and the weather was perfect. The zoo was not busy at all, which was nice compared to many summer days!

Many of the animals, especially the water animals were quite active!

Always has to go to sleep with fabric in her mouth!

Natalie picked the elephant to ride.

I couldn't help myself with posting this picture because  it reminds me of a phrase from the movie,  American Pie. You can look it up for yourself because it is definitely inappropriate for this blog...haha!

She is becoming so independent! I have to admit though, it's nice not to have to chase her around and watch her every move.

Looks like this one doesn't have a very long life expectancy...

Yay! Wind...

Waiting for the dolphin show, which was...eh...not that great!

Tooth #2

Aubrey is hitting all kinds of milestones in just a short amount of time.

Tooth #2 broke through shortly after #1 like we expected it would.

She rarely army crawls now and she can get herself into a kneeling position. It won't be long until she is pulling herself up to furniture I'm afraid. She is already letting her newfound mode of transportation to allow her to explore MANY new areas in the house!

best shot I could get of her teeth...

Happy Easter 2013!

We had a busy, but fun weekend with family.

Saturday we spent with Bobby's family and Sunday with mine.

We met Bobby's sister, Julie, and her family, plus his parent at the HealthWorks Museum in South Bend, then had a Easter egg hunt at his parent's house, followed by dinner, and then an impromptu trip to Mega Play...an older arcade type place kind of like Chuck-E-Cheese, but for all ages.

Natalie had a blast. Mega Play has a ball pit, which I was not too thrilled that she go in because I know those are not the cleanest things, but Bobby justified it by saying we used to play in them all the time as kids. Natalie has really become quite independent and it makes me happy, but sad how much she can now do for herself. Last year at this time, she was still a little wobbly and unsure on her feet. Now she's running all over the place!

Here is a video of how Natalie hula hoops :)

Sunday, we went to church at 9a, then followed by lunch and a scavenger Easter egg hunt. Later, Natalie developed a fever just as we were packing up to leave. Poor girl just doesn't feel better, and from the sounds of it, she probably got it at daycare...oh joy!  I hate when she is sick!

The Easter bunny came!

They were more interested in the cracks in the deck than having their picture taken.

Playing with their Easter stuff

Happy Easter everyone!  We are so blessed!
