St Louis

A couple weekends ago, we headed to St. Louis to see Bobby's family and so Bobby and the guys could go to the Rams game.

We had a great trip, which was delayed by a day because Aubrey was randomly running a fever on Friday, but luckily it cleared up and she has been fever free since. The last we had seen his family was at his dad's funeral and it had been years before that. We had a great time and stayed busy the whole time.

The original plan was to go to their church's Journey to Bethlehem on Saturday evening, but after having dinner and going to the church to see that we would be waiting in line for at least a couple hours, we decided we would stay later in St. Louis to try and go to it on Sunday evening instead. Luckily we did because we were some of the first people there for Sunday and the girls enjoyed it very much!

It was so nice spending time with all of them, and especially getting to see Nikki and Mimi since neither of them could make the trip to Indiana in October. Austin was super fussy on Saturday and only wanted me to hold him (imagine that), but then seemed to chill out more on Sunday.

The girls even got gifts, which was so thoughtful of them. They were great hosts and we can't wait to visit again!

We tried Jilly's cupcakes as well. They were yummy, but very pricey. However, one cupcake can easily serve 2 people and 3 if you are mainly just wanting to try them.

Austin slept through the whole thing!

We enjoyed listening to Nikki sing!

Happy Thanksgiving 2015!

...almost didn't get this posted  before Christmas! Haha!

We have been blessed with so much! We have great family and friends and have so much to be thankful for!

We spent the long weekend up north with our families. Thursday was packed full with lunch at my family's house and then dinner at Bobby's.

Austin was pretty fussy all weekend unless I was holding him and the girls were wild & crazy pretty much all weekend, too!

The rest of the weekend we went to see the Peanuts movie, which was very cute and I will be buying it when it is released. Aubrey did slightly better than her first movie, but still wandered in our aisle between mine and my mom's lap. This was Austin's first movie (haha) and he slept the entire time in his carseat.

On Saturday, I took Amanda's in-laws family photos and then they stuck around so her father-in-law could take an updated family photo of our family, which hasn't been updated since Natalie was a baby...so over 4 years ago!

As if family photos weren't enough, I also took pictures of the kids in their cute Christmas outfits my parents bought. They were over pictures so this is as good as we got!

Yep! This pretty much sums it up! LOL

Happy 2 Months, Austin!

Another month has passed! Time flies, especially with the holidays thrown in the mix!

We go to the doctor tomorrow for his first round of shots and will see how he's growing. I feel like he's getting so big, but then again he was big when he was born, too!

He is still in 0-3 month clothes. My mom and I went out last week to buy him some socks since his newborn socks were getting too small.

He is sleeping longer stretches at night, averaging about 5 hour long stretches which I appreciate, and still sleeps during the day quite a bit, too.

He is starting to have more facial expressions. I can get him to smile and coo at me.  He's definitely a mover and likes to kick his feet. He's been enjoying the Fisher Price piano mat he has and is swinging his arms to move the toys that hang from it too. He doesn't mind tummy time for short stretches, but it's definitely not his favorite. He has more head control, but obviously still needs support.

He enjoys being held facing out when he is awake so he can see what's going on (just like Natalie as a baby) and often likes his butt patted to fall asleep.

We still haven't transitioned him to his crib mainly because it's still a toy room, but hopefully soon we can especially now that he is sleeping longer stretches.

He's a great little shopper and seems to almost always sleep when he's in his carseat.

He still gets fussy during the nighttime most nights and will fuss when you aren't holding him just like he wants, but other than that he is a good baby.

His hair is starting to lighten up so I'm assuming he's going to become a blondie like his sisters and his eyes are still the newborn grayish blue color.

One thing he does that his sister's didn't do is take a pacifier, which he seems to like mostly when he's tired, but I've noticed he has recently taken a liking to his hands and even sometimes finds his thumbs (both at the same time) to suck on.

His sisters absolutely adore him, and we do too!
