There was a great little park not far from the house we stayed at that had a nice walking trail along the Animas River and a fun playground. We only made it here once, but it was fun the morning we went!

Bobby and I went whitewater rafting later that day, which was more of a lazy river, but because I didn't want to do anything crazy, that's what we ended up with. I think next time, I won't have a choice because I'm sure Bobby will sign us up for something a bit more adventurous. Thanks to my parents for watching the girls so we could do that! Later that evening, we ate dinner at Steamworks Brewing Co. which was good and they had great root beer and beer. My dad paid for a wagon ride along the streets after dinner. Natalie threw a fit about getting into the wagon, but luckily her attitude quickly changed and she enjoyed it.
The next day, Amanda and Matt stayed back at the house while the rest of us made the journey to the Million Dollar Skyway. It is one of the most dangerous roads in the country. It was a beautiful drive! Back in January they had a rockslide, so now you can only travel the road before 8:30a (ask my dad about their experience trying to get through in the morning...), on their lunch break between 12:30 and 1:30 and after 6:30p. We did not realize this until we were already headed that way, but luckily, we timed it perfectly and made it through midday.

| Natalie was very excited to see snow! |
Since we had to wait until lunchtime to make it through, we were able to do the Alpine Slide at Durango Mountain Resort, which was a lot of fun!

That evening, we met up with Matt and Amanda in Cortez for dinner and then an Indian Dance. Natalie thought it was neat to see the Indians after seeing where they "lived." :)
This family was from the Ute Tribe.
