Last week was SO busy!
We got together with friends to make ornaments, then got to see Santa, went to the Indy zoo, I took pictures twice on Saturday, along with a birthday party. I was pooped by the end of the week that's for sure!
Alison was brave enough to do some messy ornaments with the kids at her house. They turned out great and the kids had fun getting messy!
On Thursday, while Bobby was helping out at the church, I took all 3 kiddos to go to Storytime with Santa at Barnes and Noble. I was afraid that it was going to be crowded because the Facebook event said there were almost 100 people going! Luckily probably only 30 kids or so showed up. Cookies and milk were also provided by Chick-fil-a so they had Santa Cow come out to see the kids. Aubrey freaked out (the only kid that freaked out) when the cow came out and she was so afraid of him! Poor girl. I had a pep talk with her in the car about Santa and how she didn't have to sit on his lap, but just stand next to him and smile so I could get a picture. After I saw what happened with the cow, I was worried about how she would react with Santa because she has not liked him since she was born. Santa came out and read a story or two while the kids enjoyed their cookies and milk, then it was time to line up so they could talk to Santa and have their picture taken.
To my surprise when it was our turn, Natalie grabbed Aubrey by the hand and lead her to Santa. They both sat on his lap and talked to him and smiled for the picture! This whole event was free too! Can't beat a free picture with Santa! Aubrey even turned around and hugged Santa TWICE before we left...it was so sweet!
Aubrey asked Santa for a star and Natalie asked him for a Snoopy book.
Friday, I met up with Cassie and Gavin, along with several other friends of Cassie's for Christmas at the Zoo in Indy...along with every other person in Central Indiana. I have never ever seen the zoo so crowded! The parking lot was jam packed, but I can't really blame anyone because the temperatures were awesome! Just light jackets were needed. The weather was definitely not December weather, but I'll take it!
We only had to pay for parking which was awesome! Thanks to all of Cassie's friends that have memberships!
I was glad to use Cassie as my extra set of hands since I had all three kiddos by myself and since it was dark and crowded, we needed to be extra cautious of making sure everyone stayed together.
I would have never anticipated staying at the zoo the entire time from 6-9:30p, but we did. The kids all did great, but it was just way too crowded for my liking!
Austin was so good while we were there!
