Happy 3rd Birthday, Aubrey!

Happy Birthday, Aubrey!  We love you so much and can't wait to see what this next year brings to you!

Aubrey definitely gives us a run for our money and fits the '2nd child' mold to a tee!  She is super spunky, independent (as much as she can be), sweet, cuddly, smiley, and lovable. She loves her sister and often says Natalie is her best friend. She is also quite opinionated!

She has grown a ton in the last year!  Her words and sentences exploded this year!  She loves to swim (but the water has to be just right) and swing!  She loves to sing the ABCs and Old McDonald.

When asking her this year what type of party she wanted, she was too wishy washy and really doesn't prefer anything on TV, so once again, we did a non-character themed party...I decided on a BUBBLE theme. Also, whenever asked what presents she wanted for her birthday, so often replied with 'Nothing!' or would explain how she was going to teach her baby brother how to do a somersault, then proceed to show us what that looked like. She was a hard one this year because she honestly didn't NEED or WANT anything at all!  She's also the type that if given a choice to buy something in a gift shop, she never wants to buy anything; where Natalie would buy everything if you let her.

We had perfect weather for her party...perfect in the shade, warm in the sun. The kids all seemed to have fun with the various bubbles, swing set, sprinkler, small pool and of course the bounce house!

She sure likes to ham it up for pictures now! :)

Bubble wrap for the bubble party!

Natalie picked out and wrapped (with help) a present just for Aubrey!

A perfect sized pool just for them!

On Sunday, we headed to church and family that was still in town came over and played before it was time to go home.

The kids even got to take short motorcycle rides...Aubrey LOVED it and giggled the whole ride. Natalie refused to even sit on it because she says motorcycles are TOO loud!

We had a great time and are so thankful for all our family and friends who could come!  We should all sleep good after this fun-filled weekend!

Mother's Day 2015

I am just now writing about this in July!  Oops!

For Mother's Day weekend, we only had 1 kiddo with us, Natalie!  Aubrey headed down to Tennessee with my parents for the weekend. Natalie had soccer so she couldn't go this time around. I think it's great for the girls to have their one-on-one time both with grandparents and Bobby/I. I think it makes them feel special. I know Natalie enjoyed being able to do some fun things with just mom and dad, while Aubrey got to hang out just with G/G B and G/G Toby!

On Friday night/Saturday, it was just Natalie and me because Bobby had an adventure race. Natalie played her soccer games both on Friday and Saturday and then got to go for ice cream at Menchie's when Bobby got home from his race.

I was their chauffeur for the night!

On Sunday, we went to church and I volunteered with the preschoolers, then out to lunch at Cracker Barrel followed by a little bit of shopping at Sam's Club, Lowe's, and the Apple House for some pretty hanging baskets (which are still alive at the end of July I might add!).  It was a great weekend and really crazy with only 1 kid. I can't believe soon we will have a house full of 3 kiddos!!!

Natalie decorated my card and envelope!

The girls made these drawings at school. They are supposed to be of their mother, but Natalie took the liberty to draw Bobby instead!
