1 Year Check-Up!

Today I took Natalie to the doctor for her 1 year check-up.

She weighs 18lb 11.5oz (between the 10 and 25th percentile)
She is 28.5in long (in the 25th percentile)
Her head circumference was 18in (in between the 50 and 75th percentile)

She has definitely maintained her small status in the height and weight category over the last year, and we love every bit of her petite self!

She had to get 3 immunizations today, and she was definitely not a happy camper, but calmed down shortly. She was also a little wiggle worm for the doctor today as well.

When she was born, they recommended we get a hearing test when she got older, not because they noticed anything since she passed the newborn test, but only because I opened my big mouth and said I had partial hearing loss in at least one year. I'm sure it's not genetic, but now I have to take her to Indy to St. Vincent's for a hearing test...yippee!  Also, I have to take her to get her blood drawn for a routine test of lead and anemia. I could have done it today, but I thought she had been stuck enough for the day.

She has now developed a cough, sneeze, and runny nose, which I knew was only a matter of time since the kids at daycare have been passing that around too!  The doctor gave us a prescription to only fill if over the next several days she develops fever or starts to not act like herself. So far she is acting like herself, so I hope it stays that way.

She is now napping after her eventful morning, and I am hoping she stays in a good mood today because I need to go grocery shopping and run some errands. However, winter has returned and it is SO cold and windy outside!  What happened to all the nice, spring-like weather we have had lately?!

Here is a video of Natalie "singing" with one of her new toys:

Update on our old house: The inspection went well and there are really just a few minor electrical issues that Bobby and a friend can take care of for under $200 probably, so that is exciting. The plan is to get that stuff done over the weekend, clear out the garage, and hopefully close even sooner than March 12th! It will be so nice when we no longer are paying 2 house payments!  Yay! I can't wait!

Since the whole point of this blog has been to print out a book for Natalie each year for memories, if I would print the book out now, it would be 316 pages!  I'm wondering if instead of having it in printed form, if I should instead get a digital copy (a TON cheaper) since technology changes so much and by the time Natalie is older, books may not even exist (I doubt it, but...). Decisions, decisions!
