Year Seven

Lucky #7!  We made it to 7 years and I would have to say that I feel this year has been one of our best years. We've both grown (still growing) spiritually and emotionally. This next year will definitely be a wild ride while we add another baby, but I'm looking forward to what it has in store.

Since I was 38 weeks pregnant, I decided it would be best if we didn't go more than an hour away, just in case. Our anniversary was on a Sunday, so we went to church, had breakfast with the girls, played in our pool, then headed up to Indy for an anniversary dinner at Rick's Cafe Boatyard at sunset. It was perfect for us since we couldn't be in our favorite destination, the Caribbean!  The food was good, atmosphere was great as we sat outside and listened to the live jazz music.

Happy Anniversary, Bobby!  Can't wait to see what our future years have in store!

This chocolate cake was huge and amazing!!!

Thanks to Abbey and Tim for watching our girls and having them over for their first sleepover!!!

End of Summer

The girls had a great summer playing with their friends, Allison and Max (James, too)!  I wasn't sure how the summer would go, but it went fabulously having Abbey watch the girls for the summer!  They had a blast playing outside, making crafts, eating popsicles, making cookies, and just spending tons of time playing together!  Here are a few pictures from their summer fun at Abbey's this summer. I had more, but I can't find them now.

Exhausted from all the fun this summer!

Aubrey has been bonding more with Bobby lately and actually requests him to rock her at night! It makes me a little sad, but happy at the same time!

Crazy bedhead!

Trying with no training wheels...still a work in progress!

Having this pool was perfect this summer!

Fashionista?! haha

Aubrey and Natalie can now ride their bikes around our neighborhood with no help!

Preschool Open House

For our anniversary, Abbey and Tim offered to watch our kids OVERNIGHT!  I think this was the highlight of Natalie's summer because her and Allison have been asking to have a sleepover the entire summer!  Abbey was the brave soul to attempt the sleepover first and according to her, it went great!  It was nice to have a dinner out and pick up the girls the next day. Max and Allison even came over for several hours that next day to swim with the girls. I told Abbey I may have to borrow her kids once baby #3 is born just to entertain my girls! :)

Natalie missed Allison so much going to her first day of pre-K, she drew a picture of Allison!

Natalie has been having some bathroom issues lately, so her reward for keeping her pants dry and clean at school was ice cream!  However, the bathroom issues continue...ugh!

Eagle Creek Sprint Triathlon Series July/August

I thought I had posted Bobby's results from his July race, but I guess not!  The girls and I weren't able to make it to that one because I was supposed to have a photo shoot that morning, but it got cancelled at the last minute...ANNOYING!

Just last weekend, we headed up to Indy again for Bobby's last Tri in this series. I'm proud of him for doing these and improving his overall time each time he's done these, especially with little to no training. The girls and I enjoy watching these races because there is always something going on, plus we cheer on our friends Dave and Emily, too!

Holiday World 2015

We finally decided to make a trip to Holiday World this year and had a blast!  We skipped last year, so the last time we went was in 2013. Natalie has about an inch to go before she hits the 42" mark where she can ride the taller kiddie rides by herself and Aubrey just made the 36" mark which was great because she was able to ride the kiddie rides by herself and some with an adult. We went with the Cosby's and a couple of their friends. The weather was great...sunny skies and 91 degrees...a little warm when you weren't in the waterpark, but just perfect in the water!  We hadn't planned on staying until the park closed, but that's just what we did!

Bobby was really excited to take the girls on their first roller coaster! Natalie went first and seemed to enjoy it while she was on it, but had second thoughts after it ended and didn't want to ride it again!

Aubrey on the other hand, she had a complete blast and even initiated holding up her arms without Bobby even recommending it!  She's definitely our little daredevil when it comes to amusement parks!

The Holidog area didn't have the splash pad going as usual, so we only stayed to ride a couple of the rides, then made our way toward the Thunderbird so all the adults could ride the new coaster (excluding me of course...I was on kid duty).

After the adults had a little fun, the kids were itching to get in the water! I honestly was too because it was pretty warm. While changing the girls and me, I realized I had somehow forgot my swimsuit bottoms...ugh!  I knew I had packed them, but they were nowhere in the bag. So, I had to buy a swimsuit at the park...it wasn't one I would normally pick and it was expensive, but the top was cute and I'm sure I can wear it when I'm not pregnant, plus I really had no choice. When we got back to the car, guess where my bottoms were...in the CAR!!!  Somehow they had fallen out of the bag!

Bobby found a ride he could take all 4 of the kids on, and they all LOVED it!  I told him a couple times I was so glad that he enjoys making the most out of the park experience by making sure he's always including the kids and never being selfish of the rides he may want to do!  Let's be honest, we went for the girls anyway and we both wanted to make sure they were having fun, which of course they did!  We really did a perfect mix of adult/kid stuff so everyone had fun!

Natalie says this was her FAVORITE ride of the day!!  She's definitely more of a waterpark kid than an amusement park kid.

...and in 2015!

She obviously likes the purple seahorse!

This was a great little day trip for the girls before summer ends and their baby brother arrives!

A look back at 2013:

Our favorite part of Holiday World is the waterpark above all, it's clean, and the free soft drinks/sunscreen. We did notice after a 2 year lapse of going, we weren't able to buy discount tickets as before at Kroger, which has always been the best deal. We did save a bit because we bought the tickets online, but not as much as we used to. Plus, I got the expectant mother discount at the gate!  Also, we used to think the food prices were really reasonable compared to other amusement parks we've been to, but not so much now. However, it's convenient of course so what are you going to do?! It's definitely a little more pricey to go now than even just a couple years ago, but we still had a TON of fun and can't wait to go back!
