We spent the day in Golden, Co and Idaho Springs, Co.
We went to the Coors Brewery for the free tour that includes 3 free beers and 1 sample beer or soft drinks. The tour was okay for me, but Bobby really enjoyed it. I'm glad we went because it was interesting, but the beer...ehh! I'm not a huge beer fan anyway, but Bobby enjoyed his free beers.

Next, we walked around the town of Golden. I had been here last year for one evening with my parents and Amanda while Bobby and Matt were at the Rockies game.

After Golden, we headed to Red Rocks Amphitheater. This would be an awesome place to see a concert. The day we were there, Santana was going to play that night, but at tickets well over $100 a pop per person...no, thank you! However, I bet it would have been a great concert.

We then headed to Idaho Springs, CO to go white water rafting (great workout...by the end of the next day, my abs were SO sore!). Since the water levels were low, we went on the advanced course but it was really only intermediate. Thank goodness we wore wetsuits because the water was COLD. Thankfully, none of us fell out and we had a blast. Got stuck a couple of times on rocks, but I'm glad Bobby wanted to do this because it was fun! We didn't buy any pictures since it was $30 for one picture on a CD or $50 for all of the images on a CD...outrageous! The pictures are not online yet to view, but I would say in the next week or so, if you go to www.rapidimagephoto.com and once you are in the white water rafting pictures, select Clear Creek, then Arkansas Valley Adventures and the date will be September 3rd 4:30p.
For dinner, we at in Idaho Springs at a restaurant called Beau Jo's, which was a Colorado pizza joint. They had a TON of pizzas to choose from and we wound up getting the recommended crust (very thick and awesome) with somewhat odd toppings that was just okay. However, the crust was awesome and the suggested way to eat it was to dip it in warm honey...SO GOOD! The salad bar was also quite interesting since it was in old bathtubs filled with ice.
Once we got back to the hotel, we were so tired that we just went to sleep. Most people our age would have went out in Denver in the LoDo district but not these old fuddy duddies!
