Amanda had class, so I took her place in the run. I wasn't really wanting to do this one only because our last experience with a color run was poor. However, this one was awesome! Aubrey and I got up extra early and left Terre Haute a little after 6am to head to Indy to meet up with my parents and Matt. The race started at 9 and we got there just in time. The starting of the race was similar to the last where you start in waves, but after our experience from the last one, we got right up front at the start and were in the 1st wave. The location, organization, color stations, etc (EVERYTHING) were 200% better than the one that was held in downtown.
My only goal for the race was just to get in my Week 5 Day 3 run, which consisted of run 9min, walk 2min, run 5min, walk 2min, run 2min. I was SUPER proud of my mom because she stuck with me, even if we did it a little slow. She has only done 1 day in week 1 and 1 day in week 2, so she did AWESOME! After we finished the C25K portion, we still had more to complete before the actual race was completed. We ran some more and then I kept a very slow jog pace while my mom walked a faster pace, and we both finished running. The color stations were very colorful! It was a very cool day, but it felt really good while running. At a couple of the stations, instead of powder, they doused us with water color using sprayers, which was different and a bit cooler. From start to finish, our unofficial time (since they don't keep time at these) was 42 minutes, which we felt was pretty good for jog/walking it! Matt finished in 37 minutes.
We had so much fun and I think we will sign up again for this race. While we ran, my dad watched Aubrey. He had a MUCH different experience compared to the last 5K. Aubrey slept the entire time, so his job was super easy!

Today is the ND vs PU game. House divided on these Saturdays, but I was outnumbered by the PU wearing family. Aubrey doesn't have a ND shirt that fits her, so both girls were in PU, and of course Bobby, too.
