Scared of Storms

Last night we had a good anniversary dinner at home. During lunch, Bobby met me at home and brought me Jimmy John's since I had to pump in between patients. It was nice to eat lunch with him, but just as we were leaving, I dropped my phone and the screen shattered!  I was so sad, but it still works and we have another screen on order, so hopefully it will be back to normal soon!

Bobby got off work in time to get home for me to go to Zumba at 5. I never go to Zumba on Thursday nights because most of the time it's hard enough for Bobby to get off work in a timely fashion for me to make it to the 5:30 on Mondays and Wednesdays. Well, on Wednesday, Bobby got home too late and I was pretty annoyed. I did get my run in, but was looking forward to Zumba especially because there was none on Monday due to Labor Day weekend.

When I got done with Zumba, I called Bobby to see if he needed me to get anything while I was close to stores, and his request was "stuff to make peach cobbler."  So, I got "stuff" plus more and headed home. Little did I know that Bobby had taken the girls and gone to Kroger to pick up more "stuff" for dinner, as well as a bouquet of flowers, and a card. He had also fed both girls, too. I was pretty impressed, but he did admit that it definitely wasn't easy. I should also mention that he helped get Natalie around for me in the morning, which was a lifesaver because she had peed the bed...even with a nighttime diaper...and needed a bath.

For dinner, we had steaks, baked potatoes, asparagus, and salad. Bobby had the peach cobbler for dessert and said it was good...  Overall, dinner was really good and quiet since Natalie had gone to bed and Aubrey was asleep. However, toward the end of our dinner, Aubrey wanted to join and sat in her Bumbo and watched us finish dinner.  Bobby said we probably could have eaten dinner twice at a restaurant for the amount of time it took to make ours.

Funny thing, Bobby bought me a card that I had seriously considered getting him...great minds think alike :)

My week was quite busy...for me anyway!  On Tuesday, I only saw a few VNA patients, but Wednesday and Thursday I worked for VNA and Legacy (my new PRN job). I was at Legacy from 8:30-12 both days, then saw a couple VNA patients later in the day. I had to get up by 6/6:30a to get everything done I needed. I had to shower myself, wake up Aubrey to eat and dress, pump, wake up Natalie to get dressed and eat. If I didn't have to pump, I probably could have gotten ready much faster, but I need to pump to try to keep my freezer supply going for daycare since it is dwindling. It is really hard for me to catch up and since Aubrey eats so well without me pumping, it's hard for me to find time to pump. I am definitely not a morning person, but this week I had to be.  At least I had more patients this week so I didn't feel like I was strictly just working to pay for daycare.

Both girls were really good today and I was able to get some cleaning done, but still have a lot more to go since the house has been neglected now for 3 weeks...oops!

Giving sissy hugs! So sweet!
Tonight, it started storming and Bobby took Natalie outside to see the rain and lightning. We aren't quite sure if that is what made her scared or not, but ever since he did that, she has just been sitting/hiding in one spot for several minutes or letting us cuddle with her. It was also her bedtime, but for anyone that has been around her at bedtime knows she's not really one to wind down, so I'm pretty sure we just experienced our first "scared Natalie." Aubrey didn't mind the thunderstorm one bit!

Hiding. Normally she plays with this, but she was just sitting still for a long time. Also being super quiet.
