The girls and I made a whirlwind trip up to South Bend this weekend. We went up on Friday and came back Saturday night. We didn't have much down time, but the girls were troopers even though I wished I would have brought along earplugs during the drive back home...haha!
Friday, I got to hang out with a couple of my girlfriends (without kids) and it was such a treat. Thanks, Mom, for suggesting it! We all sat at the restaurant for 4 hours, just talking because we all know how well we are able to have conversations with each other between saying 'no,' 'stop,' 'eat your food,' 'be nice,' and the list goes on and on!
Saturday I met up with Bobby's parents, then his sister to learn about Advocare (still debating whether to do the 24 day challenge because it's expensive), my great uncle Walt's birthday, driving to Michigan City with my parents for dinner, then back to Terre Haute. It was a long day, but a good one.

I can't believe this is my 3rd Mother's Day! Today I got the special treat to wake up with Aubrey at 6a (luckily she fell back asleep), then Bobby's alarm which he shut off, then Natalie...missed church. Then, I got up to make pancakes and sausage for breakfast and get Aubrey dressed. Bobby rolled out of bed just before 11a. I knew I should have slept in the basement where you can't hear the girls cry, and let myself sleep in for once. I got to clean up after breakfast, too! I was one lucky mom today :) However, all criticism/sarcasm aside, I did get a Keurig and some flowers for hanging baskets, along with a card...all of which I am grateful for. Other than go to Sam's Club, Lowe's, and Ruby Tuesday, we just hung out at home. Although I did say that my day would have been better without the girls (half joking/half serious), I'm glad I was able to spend time with my little family today even with all the whining.
Although my patience is beyond zero some days and I get little time to myself other than when I am working, I am so happy to be a mommy to two beautiful girls. They are my world and I don't even remember my life without them...they are everything! I love seeing them both learn new things and hope to continue to try my best at providing everything they need to grow up to be beautiful, smart, caring woman!

Here is a craft project I finished today. Happy with the way it turned out.
