1st Weekend in June

It's really already June?!

Anyway, this weekend, the girls and I headed up to South Bend to hang out at my parents' house. We also headed over to Bobby's parents' house Saturday morning to see the Mumaw's before they headed back to Maryland. Bobby was going to a Cardinals game overnight, so we made the trip.

Friday, we were playing outside and in my parents' swingset they have a baby bird's nest. It did have 2 baby birds in it, but we couldn't see any when we walked out there. So, I climbed up and saw 1 baby bird...it startled me and I startled it and it jumped out of the nest and down to the ground. The mommy and daddy bird were going nuts!  Rusty was being a little too curious, so we had to put him inside. Then, my aunt volunteered to try and catch the baby bird to put it back in the nest, but then the mommy and daddy bird were swooping down toward me, which eventually led me to run around like a crazy person then into the house while my mom was outside with the girls and Krista was trying to catch the bird. Once she caught it, she got it into the nest and it jumped right back out...must have been ready to leave the nest. There are still 2 eggs, but more than likely they won't hatch.

Natalie repeatedly said the rest of the weekend, "Mommy bird, Daddy bird, baby bird, scare Mommy!" The things she picks up from conversations and repeats and makes her own are hilarious nowadays!
We also tried getting Natalie to say Grandpa Randy, but should would usually say Grandpa Barry or Grandpa Brandi...haha!  She has Grandma Lisa down (her choosing)...lol!  Should be interesting what she picks to call her grandparents.

She was so relaxed in the swing!
Lacie liked swinging, too
The sky was so pretty, yet strange because of it storming south of us. My picture really doesn't do it justice!
We did a lot of playing and I had the opportunity to take Jill's family pictures. I had fun and she reminded me a lot of me when I want to get family pictures...you know...everyone (including babies and toddlers) to have the exact right face/pose to make it wall-worthy! :)  I had fun and I hope they did too! After the photo shoot, my mom and the girls walked along the Riverwalk in Mishawaka which is so nice!

What a nice, relaxing, fun weekend just hanging out!
