Amanda got Natalie a special "early" surprise for her upcoming 3rd birthday. When we got to Amanda's house, Natalie had a present to open and inside was a Queen Elsa dress and and Queen Elsa Barbie. She wore the dress all day/night until we made her take it off to get her PJs on. Her Queen Elsa Barbie went to Disney on Ice with us, as well to dinner and go to ride with Natalie in the car. She didn't want to put her down. When Amanda asked Natalie where she thought we would be going, Natalie replied with "Monster Trucks!" Funny enough, there was a Monster Truck show going on in Indy today. I figured she saw a commercial, which she had but it was for the Monster Truck show in Terre Haute this Spring. When Bobby asked Natalie earlier in the day if she wanted to go, she replied with a "no."
She was pleasantly surprised to find out that we were actually going to Disney on Ice! She loved it and sat through the whole show. Aubrey had a few moments, but as soon as she got a snack, she was pretty good. The show was entertaining. I forgot how much fun it was since Amanda and I were little and we had gone to the Ice Capades. Each major princess was featured as well as Mickey, Minnie, Goofy, and Tinkerbell. They played the main songs from each movie and acted out the major scenes as well. Natalie says her favorites were Ariel and Cinderella...big surprise! I don't really think she's seen any of the other movies, other than Tangled.
After the show, we headed to dinner at Shula's for the Devour Downtown menu. It was very yummy and the girls did surprisingly well for being in a nice restaurant! Bobby couldn't come today because he was on-call for work.
A BIG thank you to Amanda and Matt for spoiling Natalie for her 3rd birthday and a BIG thank you to my parents for dinner!
