Upward Soccer

The 3rd soccer game of the season is in the books!

We have never participated in Upward Sports but are super impressed!  After our experience, we will not go back to the outside soccer league in town until it is competitive soccer if the girls are still interested in soccer at that point.

The girls are on the same team, which makes it nice that we have one practice and one game a week. However, the games are super early for this household...8a or 9a every Saturday morning!

Each practice and game they pray before the game, have a short devotion each practice/game...we have been learning about the word self-control! The games last 40 minutes I believe, which is double the game time from the spring/fall outdoor league. They get super nice reversible jersey shirts, socks, a water bottle, and magnet.

The first week was a little intimidating for Natalie, but she warmed up by the 2nd half and did well. The kids get to run out of a tunnel to music and their names announced, which is fun, but super scary for a 4 year old that gets stage fright! Aubrey ran out of the tunnel and Natalie slowly walked while being pushed gently by her coach while having her arms crossed. It was quite comical actually! Natalie has been doing a great job going after the ball and has even scored a couple goals so far. Aubrey does good kicking the ball but also has moments of just running behind the crowd like Natalie did last Spring when she played outdoor soccer. (Thanks for all the soccer pictures Laura Wright!)

Week 2 was Crazy Hair Day!

Aubrey won the weekly drawing and got a free cupcake!

Week 3 was picture day and our first 8am game!  That was WAY too early!

The girls have been super lucky to have the Vandiver 4 at every game and Grandma/Grandpa B got to come last week, too!

Here are some other random pictures since the last update:

The Valentines the girls took to school this week.

Austin has recently started to barely be able to use the exersaucer! He can barely touch, but enjoys being in it. However, he also enjoys to poop while he's in it which results in up the back, change of clothes, bathtime poop!  Haha!

Aubrey got to go on a Daddy Daughter Double Date last night with Bobby, Nate and Cadence. They had dinner at the "cow" restaurant (Chick-fil-a) and then lots of fun at the Bouncin' Barn.

That there is one lucky daddy and a couple of lucky little girls!
