Natalie went to her first fair last night...the Vigo County Fair. She did great and it was a beautiful night with perfect weather, especially with the heat we have been having! By the time we were looking at the animals, Natalie fell asleep after looking at the rabbits and some pigs. Only Natalie would want to eat while smelling the wonderful smell of the hog barn...haha! While still in the pig barn, she fell asleep and didn't wake up until we were in the horse barn. Towards the end of the night, the races were going on (they are in the fairgrounds) and since it was so dry, dirt was flying everywhere! It was a great time with friends, and I was so thankful that Bobby was able to take a break from work to do a family fun night! It was a much needed break for him from work and a much needed activity for our family.
By the time we got home, Natalie ate some carrots and rice cereal (did a little better with the carrots this time). Bobby tried the carrots and did not think they were the best tasting food ever! We are thinking that once we introduce Natalie to different veggies and fruits and rule out any allergies, we will blend up our food and start feeding her that...we'll see.
After eating, since Natalie had dirt on her from the fair, as well as powdered sugar that blew on her from Rebekah's elephant ear...haha...it was bath time. Because Natalie has diaper rash again (thinking it is because of the heat lately) I bought the Aveeno soothing oatmeal bath packets and asked Bobby to get it started. I know Bobby has watched me give Natalie a bath in her little tub before, but when I handed off Natalie to Bobby to give her a bath, I never thought I would see what I did when I was called into the bathroom from Bobby to help him. When I walked in, he had filled the entire baby tub to the top and after putting Natalie in, he realized it was TOO full and he only needed to add a little bit of water, enough to let her bottom soak. I could not stop laughing, it was definitely a funny moment and one that Bobby I'm sure learned from. Natalie had a great time splashing in the water and playing with Daddy in the tub!
She slept through the night again!
