Pacers and Winter Jam

Last weekend, we were in Indy for most of the weekend!

Friday night we went to the Pacers game and watched the Pacers beat the Bulls with several people from my work, but my family and our friends, the Vandivers came along too. It was a good time like usual even if we are in the nosebleeds!

Let's just say they both LOVE cotton candy!

We stayed the night at Amanda and Matt's house, then just hung out until we headed downtown with my parents for Winter Jam 2014. We had never been, but Bobby has been wanting to go for months!  The thing is you can only get tickets at the door, so you have to stand in line and just wait with thousands of other people to get in. Luckily the weather wasn't bad, but I still think that the waiting part is dumb especially in a venue that holds over 16,000 and they were able to get over 15,000 people inside. Lucky for us, Joel and his daughter attended and were in line super early so they saved us some seats!  The concert was really good but because this was not my idea/thing, I didn't really look into it and was just along for the ride. None of us knew that the concert lasted 4 hours!  We took the girls and we were into it about 1.5 hours when my parents decided to just take them back to my sister's house. I felt bad for them paying and waiting in line and then leaving, but next time we will find a sitter for the kids and go without. Natalie HATED every second of it until my dad took her out to get cotton candy and earplugs, then she fell asleep. I have to admit, the concert was really loud, which we experienced during the Justin Timberlake concert we went to in December. I think Bankers Life Fieldhouse is just not the greatest venue for concerts because of all the metal rafters. Natalie cannot stand loud things so I do feel bad about dragging her along. Aubrey on the other hand LOVED it! She was dancing and having a good time, until she was getting hungry.  Our favorites were Lecrae, Tenth Avenue North, Colton Dixon, and Newsboys. The others were good too, but those were just the standouts.
