Ever have one of those days that you wish you could just press the reset button?
Today is one of those days for me, I wish I could rewind time a bit and just restart! I can't say things have been horrible, just not going the way as planned. On Fridays, I set my alarm for 8am hoping to make it to the Y to run on the treadmill (since the weather still sucks) before my Body Pump class starts. 8am may seem late to you all, but my girls usually never wake up before that on "school days", I always have to get them up out of bed around 8:10/8:15 and then Natalie is still usually grumpy! However, I guess I should just wake up when Natalie comes in our room on Fridays (it never fails!) and stay up! Instead, I let her lay in bed with me (I'm not sure what time she comes in but Bobby is always still in bed so it has to be before 7:15a). Then, I lazily get up past my 8am alarm, but still manage to make it to Body Pump because it doesn't start until 9:45a.
Today was no exception of how Fridays usually start off, except once I was pulling out of the garage and was already down the road I noticed the garage door went back up. So, I reversed (annoyed) and tried to fix the garage door. We have this problem occasionally, more often than it should happen, where you have to adjust the cameras so they are in line with each other so that the door would close. However, today the dumb door decided to break!!!! That meant that I couldn't go to my class and we were stuck at home for the morning (the entire day). I called Bobby and texted him pictures, he came home before lunch and thought he could fix it, but honestly I think it's beyond his knowledge of the door, so now we wait to see if it was an installation issue (which will be paid for) or something else (that we will have to pay for). I'm hoping for the installation issue because honestly, that door has not worked right since we moved in, but it's never broke!
Then, while Bobby was messing with the door, I was getting lunch ready for the girls and the lazy susan cabinet broke, which Bobby will have to try and fix tonight. Luckily I don't have to fix these things and Bobby does, they are really just inconveniences to me.
Then, while I was trying to get stuff done while the girls at lunch, I look over at Aubrey and see this:
Ugh! I really didn't want to be giving baths midday either! This picture makes her look messy but isn't even half of it! She had it EVERYWHERE! Of course, because Aubrey got a bath, Natalie wanted a bath. Now I have lost all motivation to clean up the kitchen, dining room, play-doh and markers, etc that await.
Hopefully the 2nd half of the day improves!
Update: Our garage door will be fixed later next week and it will not have to be paid by us! There are actually several problems with the door because it wasn't installed properly so this little incident was actually a blessing in disguise! The lazy susan cabinet was actually an easy fix for Bobby and everything is now back into the cupboard!
Today, while Natalie was playing with Play-Doh, she says to me, "Look Mama! I'm making a number one like God! Just like chapel." It makes me so happy that she loves going to church to learn about God and Jesus!
