However, prior to heading to Indy, Rebekah and I ran the THPD 5K. Overall it was a pretty flat course, but it did have a few gradual hills. I think I'd rather have a short steep hill than a gradual incline because it feels like the hill lasts forever. I averaged a 9:08 pace (according to my RunKeeper app) with my official race time at 28:37. Without looking back at my last race's specific time, I believe I did about 1 minute better, so I'm happy with that. I was 5th overall in my age group.
Natalie enjoyed watching the helicopter take off!

Zoo Boo was SUPER crowded and busy! I will probably not go back unless it's with friends again. I prefer zoo days when you can walk comfortably with a stroller and not be in a traffic jam to see animals. It was a good time with friends and their kids though. Aubrey didn't end up wearing a costume because it was a warm day and all of her costumes were for cold weather, plus all her Halloween shirts were long sleeved, so I just put the spider hat on her head for the photo-op.

Sunday was a more relaxed day. I volunteered at church with the preschoolers and Bobby and his Dad attended church. Afterwards, lunch at Cracker Barrel. Natalie is good when we go out to eat, but lately Aubrey is just a pain. She squeals, screams, throws food and whatever else is in her arms reach...ugh! Also, now that she can walk, that's ALL she wants to do! She doesn't like being confined at all! Natalie randomly requested to carve pumpkins (came up with it all on her own), so that's what we did. Rebekah came over and we carved. Bobby helped clean them out. Natalie didn't like having the insides of the pumpkin on her hands, Aubrey didn't mind too much. Neither girls' attention stayed on our pumpkin task, so it was up to me and Rebekah! After we were all done carving, I remembered an idea I saw on Pinterest of hammering a cookie cutter to carve. Rebekah tried it out, Natalie liked using the hammer...so easy!!!

From the mouths of babes:
Bobby called me tonight while he was driving with Natalie to tell me what she said. They were listening to 'You are My Sunshine' and after it was over, Natalie did her deep, hilarious belly laugh and said, "I love that song!"
The things she says nowadays are hilarious. I will try to do a better job at documenting them on here.
