Merry Christmas 2013!

This year has flown by and every year seems to go quicker than the next. We are so very blessed with all that we have and those we have in our lives!

After 29 years (for me anyway), Christmas got changed up, which was really strange, but everything turned out great! For the last 29 years, I have woke up every Christmas morning at my parent's house with the fire going in the fireplace. This year, we woke up at our house with my parents, sister, brother-in-law, and aunt, and all 4 dogs in tow. It took us just as long to unwrap our presents and lunch didn't start promptly, in fact it was about an hour and a half later than expected. The important part was that we were all together and we are starting a tradition for the girls to wake up Christmas morning at our house. I will be honest, it makes me sad that our tradition for 29 years has ended, but I am happy that we can continue to make new memories together and start some fun, new traditions as well.

Our time went by far too quickly with everyone leaving shortly after lunch and now it's just our little family of 4 to rest and enjoy our time together.

I was actually very happy about the fact that our Christmas Eve church service continued and we were able to enjoy it at our own church. It was a great service and I was glad that my family was able to experience our great church!  I still remember as a little girl burning my hair during the candlelight service. The magnitude of our large church with the glow of candles was breathtaking.

When asking Natalie to help me write a letter to Santa, she was her usual nutty self and was not very cooperative, but here it is...

None of us really know where 'boys' came from other than telling her that Santa was going to come to all the good boys and girls houses Christmas Eve night...if that's not where it came from then we are in big trouble!

The girls' breakfast...at least the healthy part :)

Natalie is NOT a morning person!  We woke her up at 8a to get started on opening Santa's gifts...Aubrey on the other hand loves morning, as long as you feed her first :)

Christmas morning PJ shot...

Bright eyes!

They loved their tutus from Santa, and Aubrey was perfectly content with cups as her gift!

Merry Christmas from our family to yours! May 2014 bless you and your family!
