Friday started with Bobby taking a half day at work so I could leave for Indy around noon for what Bobby named a "bachelorette weekend." Rebekah's birthday was Saturday and she booked an AWESOME room at the Conrad hotel with a night out on the town in Indy. There were 4 of us girls total. While Rebekah worked for awhile and Lindsay took advantage of their spa to get her hair done (which I hear is amazing and a must do), Alison and I grabbed some lunch and enjoyed the hot tub, pool, steam room (near death experience...later on that), and sauna (nice and toasty). Indy was FREEZING that day/night, so the hot tub and sauna felt awesome! As for the steam room, I'm not sure what to think of that. We may have tolerated 3 minutes in there, but it even took a few attempts for us to even make it into the room. It was EXTREMELY HOT and the steam was so thick that Alison and I both felt claustrophobic. You really had to concentrate on your breathing, so no laughing allowed. Our skin felt good after we got out of that room, but unless the next one I encounter has controls (we didn't see any in sight), I will probably never get in one again.
All of us girls got ready (no picture to show us all dressed and ready to go because Rebekah didn't want a picture, but then wanted a picture taken of us the next morning with bed head, but all of us refused...lol). We had dinner at Weber Grill. This would have been my 3rd or 4th time eating at one, and my experience this time was the best. The food was yummy and service was quick. Later we headed to Howl at the Moon where we spent the majority of our evening, then came back to the hotel until Rebekah forced us all to go back out at 2am to close out a dance club called Sensu. I have not stayed up that late for a very LONG time! Did I say that Indy was FREEZING that night?! Brrrrr....
Rebekah and Lindsay were even more crazy by staying up to watch Elf until 5am, while Alison and I went to sleep. The next morning, we ate a yummy breakfast at the restaurant in the Conrad, then headed back to Terre Haute. It was a fun little trip and day/night away from the girls and Bobby.
