In the meantime, I have started different things to try and help her skin: coconut oil at night (used like lotion) which she doesn't scream about having on especially when it was flared up, I've used Curel lotion in the morning (the Itch defense kind) but don't really see a huge difference, I bought All free and clear laundry detergent, and bought a hazelwood/aquamarine necklace from Inspired By Finn. Natalie has left the necklace on 24/7 since it came in the mail on Friday. I'm also going to have Bobby pick up some body scrub called Simple Sugar as seen on Shark Tank because the girl the developed it dealt with eczema her whole life, but the only shop in Indiana is in Nashville, which Bobby just so conveniently is near this weekend. Bobby thinks I'm a little nuts with the necklace thing, but hey, why not try it...it was recommended from a friend of a friend. Her skin is actually looking better, but now instead of red flared-up splotches, they are white splotches, but I don't notice the rough patches of skin like she had before.
Bobby went on a camping trip with some guys as a fellowship/leadership-building event from a friend's church. I have no problem with him going on this trip at all, I think it's great, but Natalie has been a nightmare since Friday and it has continued through the weekend...ugh! Bobby thinks maybe she is sick, but I really think it's really just her going through her "terrible twos" because she is showing that she wants to be so independent, but is still too young for some things or won't take guidance without throwing a tantrum. For example, she wants to get out her own breakfast which this morning she chose a cereal bar, but then she only took 1 bite and wanted something else. So, because I wouldn't give her anything else she threw a tantrum. I wasn't pushing her in the swing just right in her opinion, so she throws a tantrum. She refused to take naps yesterday and today (which is probably a HUGE reason for her unbearable tantrums that sound like nails on a chalkboard)! She refuses to listen at all, counting used to work and she would stop or come back after I reached '2', but lately I have had to get up to 3 and she still doesn't care. At the store has been the absolute worst because she wants to walk and throws a fit if she has to sit in the cart. However, when she walks, she runs around and doesn't listen, so I'm the mom chasing the giggly toddler all over the store while having another strapped into the seat in the cart...ugh! Since Friday, I have been looking forward to bedtime all day long! Tonight, both girls were in bed before 8p...I'll probably regret that when they wake up early or during the night, but for my sanity, that was what was happening in our house tonight!
Aubrey on the other hand has been so good...during the day! At night, she has a hard time falling asleep for good. She usually will wake up around 10/11 and it's not always for the same reason, so it's hard to pinpoint what to do with her other than trial and error. However, I am grateful both girls haven't been unbearable at the same time. Last night, I was at my wits end, so when Natalie woke up in the middle of the night, she ended up sleeping with me (I'm sure that will also be a BIG mistake)!
The only highlights of the day on Natalie's part was when she got to see the Chick-fil-A cow (she's as excited about it opening this coming week as much as me)! Then, after we got home from delivering a meal to a new mom, she decided to climb all around the car, then proceed to the driver's seat and says to me "I'm driving to Grandma and Grandpa's house, okayyyy?!"
