Austin | 6 Months

Half a year old, already?! I have to admit that makes me pretty sad that we've already hit the 6 month mark with Austin! Bobby even mentioned tonight how quickly that went!

As per tradition, we got Austin a cupcake for his 1/2 birthday. He was interested in it, but didn't attempt to put it in his mouth at all! I made a comparison photo of all three kiddos and Natalie was by far the messiest!

Weight: 16 lb 3 oz (between the 10 and 25 percentile)

Height: 25.7 inches (between the 10 and 25 percentile)

The girls picked out the cutest cupcakes to celebrate St. Patty's Day and Austin's 1/2 birthday!

So far, Austin has no teeth even though I swear he's been teething for awhile because he loves chewing on his fingers!

He sat up really good for his photoshoot today, but other than today, he's only sat for a few seconds on his own. Today, he did a few minutes! I was impressed!

He now knows how to barrel roll around the floor, but still pretty much prefers to lay in one spot for the longest time. He's starting to reach for things more and more and becoming more interested in how things work or why they make noise. You can see the wheels turning!

He goes to the doctor next week for his 6 month check-up, but I'm pretty sure he weighs close to 18 pounds! Since we have transitioned him to formula, he's definitely packed on the pounds!

He has already outgrown almost all of his 6 month clothes and is fitting nicely in 9 month clothes already! Still in size 3 diapers and in infant size 2 shoes, which are 3-6 month shoes.

He loves music and being sung to, especially Pat-a-Cake and This Little Piggy.

He very much loves to grab hair, or your face, or your nose...anything he can get his fingers on!

He usually naps for 1.5-2 hours in the morning and then 2-3 hours in the afternoon. He's sleeping through the night for the most part. He did great while Bobby was in Florida, but then he got sick. However, I can't complain about his bedtime schedule. Usually he is in bed by 7 or 8p, might wake up before midnight and then sleeps until 7/7:30a.

He still loves his carseat and is a great little shopper and is super laid back!

Natalie and Austin both have the grayish blue eyes still at this point, so my guess is Austin's eye will be hazel like Natalie's.

 It was so nice the other day...it's been nice all week but windy the last few days. Austin got to feel the grass for the first time. He was intrigued!

I gave him a MUCH needed haircut the other day...didn't turn out too bad for only watching YouTube videos to do it!

I just can't get enough of his chubby cheeks, bright eyes, pouty lips and squishiness! Happy 1/2 Birthday, Austin! Can't wait to see how you change in the next 6 months!
