Real Estate

We've had a couple of busy days!

Yesterday, Natalie and I met Bobby at the Remax office to make an offer on a house that we really liked! We made an offer at the original maximum price we wanted to spend, which did make me a little nervous, but we thought this house really had it all and had a huge lot (which would make for LOTS of mowing)! Then, I took Natalie home to feed her and to get a check that I forgot for the ernest money deposit for the offer. After dropping off the check, Natalie and I were headed to Walmart for some lovely grocery shopping, but before we went there an old patient of mine was outside, so we stopped by. I have driven by his house a few times to see if him and his wife were outside because the last time I saw them I was pregnant. My patient's wife got to hold Natalie and we had a good little visit before heading off to the store. Overall, Natalie was good in Walmart and slept most of the time!

Natalie has been sleeping good overall and taking naps during the day so I think she is getting back to her routine. Yay!

Today, our realtor came over to our house to go over the seller's counter offer and to determine where we wanted to go from there. Bobby and I decided to counter offer, knowing that there was a strong possibility of another set of buyers putting in an offer on the house as well. However, we stood by the maximum price we did not want to go over by any means! We got a call from the realtor late tonight to let us know that they did not accept our counter offer because someone else put in a better offer. After receiving the news, Bobby asked me on a scale of 1 to 10 (10 being the most disappointed) how disappointed I was, in which I stated only a 3 because the price of this house was stressful on top of not having our house on the market yet. Bobby replied with a 4 for him and said he was stressed too about the amount of money we were about to spend. Both of us (not knowing what the other was doing) had both prayed today asking God to lead us in the right direction in regard of this home. So, it was not meant to be, and the search for a new house continues. Or, the talk about possibly remodeling our current home to meet our needs.  So, we will see where God leads us. I love the location of our current house, but I just don't like how small it is and the lack of storage that's available. It would be nice to just add a 2nd story...if only it was that easy!

Tonight was 31 cent scoop night at Baskin Robbins, so Rebekah (our neighbor), Natalie, and I all went. We never go there even though it is walking distance from our house, and now I know why because on a regular night 1 scoop is $2.39 (insane!). After Bobby and I finished our ice cream I just put the spoon to Natalie's mouth and she made the funniest face, but shortly after smiled really big. She has been "talking" up a storm today and I even got her to laugh once today. She is growing up too fast!
