Last night while I was at Zumba, Bobby watched Natalie. When I arrived home she was in a different outfit than when I had left. I just figured Bobby decided to change her into a different outfit because he wanted to know why I had her in a sleeper/play outfit (you know the one piece outfits that zip up). However, this is not what happened; instead Natalie had an explosive diaper that got onto the ottoman as well as her outfit. Bobby said that he was playing with her and she was all smiley and cooing when he noticed the poop on the leg of her outfit. He had to clean her up as well as the ottoman :) Therefore, because this happened once before while Bobby had Natalie while I wasn't home, he thinks I am trying to sabotage him in the poop department by not placing her diaper on securely enough! Of course this is not the truth at all because why would I want her to get poop all over her outfit and the furniture?! This situation does make me smile though because it did happen with Bobby and not me. I should mention as well that one night when I went to change her AFTER Bobby had changed her last and only one side of her diaper was fastened, so I could assume he was attempting to sabotage me on that one :) The outfit he put her in after he cleaned her up was quite humorous since the onesie was huge and her pants were tight, she looked very unproportionate! However, it did match so I will give him that! When I said something about her outfit, he told me that as he was dressing her, he told Natalie that mommy was going to say something about the outfit she had on...haha!
She still hasn't rolled over again, so I am assuming it was just a fluke thing that she was able to roll over already! She is holding her head a little more steady, but still a bobblehead! She is finally starting to fit a little better into her cotton 0/3 month pants, but still no jeans! Natalie has very dry skin on her scalp and along her eyebrow line on her forehead (aka 'cradle cap'). I was looking this up online and solutions of how to get rid of it, but what I mostly found was that it was hormonal and would probably go away by 6 months hopefully. I did find one site that said to use almond or olive oil on the scalp and leave on there for 15 minutes then wash with baby shampoo as well as use a fine toothed comb. I left the olive oil on for 25 minutes and combed her hair while she had the oil on as well as after I washed it out, but she still has the dry scalp. The area around her eyebrows has been getting better with the Aveeno baby lotion. Neither Bobby nor I have the greatest skin, so unfortunately I think Natalie may battle skin issues as well!
I told Bobby tonight that I was going to go try and find an Easter basket for Natalie, in which he replied "Why? Are you going to get one that we can use each year?" Well, duh, of course I am going to get one to use each year. Why in the world would I buy a different each year?! I was looking on Etsy to get some ideas so I intend to go to Hobby Lobby tomorrow and try to find one or find stuff to decorate one. I look on Etsy way more than I need to, but there are some really creative people on there. I mainly look at the hair accessories that I could probably make myself, but it's so much easier to just purchase an already made headband. I purchased one for Easter and for Amanda's wedding, but haven't received them yet. I have been looking for some casual ones that will go with several outfits, but there are SO many on that site, I just don't know which ones to get! Maybe I'll find some inspiration tomorrow at Hobby Lobby to make my own...we will see.
