Happy Easter!

This is probably going to be a long one since I haven't done one in a few days so bear with me!

Starting with Thursday night, Natalie decided she didn't want to eat much before bedtime, so I knew she was going to wake up in the middle of the night. She went to bed around 11:30 or so and woke up around 2:30am Friday morning while Bobby was getting ready to go into work at 3am...yuck! So, I was up at 2:30am then again at 5:30am! Not fun when you are used to her sleeping well throughout the night! Unfortunately, this pattern continued the rest of Easter weekend. Saturday morning she woke up at 2:30am again and then 6:30am and Sunday morning she woke up at 4:30am then I had to get her up around 8am to get around for church.

On Friday, Bobby got home a little after noon after going into work at 3am! We got around to go to lunch in Terre Haute with some friends, then headed back home to finish packing up to head up north for the weekend. It felt like we were packing up the whole house to head home for just a couple of days!  Once we finally got on the road to Indy, we stopped by the Apple store for them to look at Bobby's work computer (waste of a trip), then proceeded to Fishers where Cassie (my friend) lives during rush hour and holiday weekend (horrible traffic, it's horrible on a normal day, but I think it was at least 10 times worse this day). Cassie just had a baby boy the previous Saturday, so I was glad to finally make it to Indy to meet the little guy. Unfortunately, Natalie was not on her best behavior and was extremely fussy! It didn't matter if we fed her or changed her, she just was not a happy camper at Cassie's house. We were able to get a picture of Cassie and I along with our little ones, Gavin and Natalie, but the last picture we got included the 2 of them crying. My camera battery had died, so I can't wait to see how it turned out from Cassie's camera (pictures to come).  Once we left Cassie's house, we met up with Amanda to take her up north with us. We ate dinner and Natalie slept during the whole thing in her carseat. On our way home, Bobby was exhausted, so I eventually took over driving so he could sleep in the back, but that didn't last long because someone was hungry! Instead of pulling over since we were SO close to my parents' house, Bobby tried feeding her while in her carseat, which didn't go that well since it's an awkward angle to feed her. We finally made it home to my parents' house, dropped of Amanda, visited for a little bit, then headed to Bobby's parents' house where we were staying for the weekend.
Not happy campers :)

Saturday, Natalie got to meet her great-great Grandma Frick and her great Grandma and Grandpa Barry. We met up with my family around 1pm at my Grandma Frick's house to visit before heading to my parents' house to celebrate Easter. Grandma Frick has dementia and recently fractured her hip, but was in a great state of mind this day and we had a great visit, short but good. Natalie was intrigued with Grandma Frick and just stared and stared at her. Natalie did awesome during this visit and was not fussy at all!  It was nice to be able to get pictures with my grandma who is 92!

Saturday afternoon, we had Easter dinner in which my mom made an awesome standing rib roast (prime rib) with tons of fixings and way too much dessert! Everything tasted great! Unfortunately, my dad was ill and ended up in bed the rest of the weekend after visiting my grandma. He missed all the good food and visiting, he was especially upset on missing out on "Natalie time."  Hopefully he feels better soon!  My Grandma and Grandpa Barry came over for dinner as well, and this was their first time meeting Natalie since they were in Florida for the winter. Natalie just stared at my grandpa. Natalie was a little bit fussy today, but not too bad overall.  She ended up with 3 Easter baskets at my parents' house: one from us, one from my parents, and one from my grandparents. Then she got more goodies from her Grandma and Grandpa Andreae the following day. Can we say spoiled?! She got lots of great goodies!

Love this picture because it looks like she is trying to look inside the basket.

Happy Easter!

Okay, I've had enough!

Sunday, we woke up early to go to church at 9am at my parents' church. It was a little hectic since we got up a little late from Natalie waking up at 4:30am and mommy and daddy still wanting to sleep after all that! We made it to church and Natalie was so pretty in her Easter dress (fit much better than the dress from the day before even though they were the same size). She did great during church while Grandma Lisa held her. She slept during most of it and then was a happy baby when church let out. After church, we headed back to Bobby's parents' house for the Easter egg hunt with Natalie's cousins and then ate a late lunch. She was crabby, but I was finally able to get her to take a nap (which wasn't long enough). She was just extra fussy today for some reason and I guess didn't want to be passed around to everyone. The car ride home went well! She slept the whole time and I fed her when we stopped for dinner after being in the car for almost 3 hours. She didn't even wake up when I fed her, just kept her eyes closed but drank it all up! Oh, the life!  I don't know how she will do sleeping today, I anticipate to wake up at least once since her weekend was very much out of her norm!
