Mother's Day 2012

I wasn't sure how this Mother's Day was going to go considering that Bobby had to do the lights at church this Sunday, which is basically an 8 hour commitment, plus he worked 11 hours yesterday mostly weird hours (he didn't get to bed until almost 4am, then had to be up by 7:20a). However, it turned out great!

I woke up to a homemade Mother's Day card. I kind of gave Bobby a hard time about it, just teasing that he forgot to get one at the store, so he had to make one while he was waiting on upgrades last night. In actuality, I would much prefer a handmade one any day over a store bought one (even though the store bought ones can be very special as well). It was very thoughtful and I know the picture he put in it took some effort to get the background cut out of it.

From Bobby, Natalie, and Aubrey
Bobby headed to church early and Natalie slept in (2nd day in a row), so I was able to get around, then wake her up and get her ready for church. We actually got to church early, so I got Natalie checked into church daycare before service started (that's a rarity)!

All ready for church with my beautiful baby girl! Boy oh boy is she getting big!

After church, we headed out to eat with some friends and Natalie was in rare form (which she stayed that way until basically bedtime). It was nice though because even though she was being a little naughty and loud, she sat next to her Daddy, so I didn't really have to deal with her much (thank you, Bobby!). Following lunch, Bobby wanted to go to the mall so I could get a charm or 2 for my Pandora bracelet. I was able to pick out to spacer charms to put in between the 2 girls birthstone charms I already had. I was glad to get some additional beads!

I have been eyeing rocker recliners for some time now, basically it started one day at Menards when I saw a couple they had (didn't even know they carried furniture) and sat in them and was sold. I really wanted one to be able to rock/feed/nap with Aubrey (Natalie too if she sits still long enough) since the one glider we have in Natalie's room is okay, but just not too comfortable, especially because it doesn't recline. It is just a cheap little one that did the job, but I really wanted comfort. Plus, we will have 2 rockers if we need to each be rocking one of our precious angels at the same time.  While I was at Sam's Club the other day, they had one that was in my price range, but wanted Bobby to check it out since I'm not good about knowing the quality, etc. However, I had seen while driving by, that La-Z-Boy was having a big sale, and didn't have time to stop the other day, so Bobby wanted to check them out first since their warranty and quality is typically better than anything "made in China" like at Sam's Club.

I did not think we would be purchasing one from La-Z-Boy since they are usually super expensive, but Bobby said it didn't hurt to stop in and look. And...guess what...we bought one!  I am SUPER excited, you don't even know!  We also get to pick it up tomorrow and not have to wait 3-8 weeks which is even better since I'm a week away from my due date. We got a great deal (at least we feel we did) and I cannot wait to use it!  It will be in our room, which is wear Aubrey will be for the next 6 weeks at least, and will stay in there for some time as well. I think Bobby is just as excited, but won't probably outwardly admit that. I see him taking many naps in the near future in our new chair. While Bobby was haggling with the salesman (who was great by the way), I entertained Natalie with a giant bear they had in the store. She also found a small stuffed bear that the store let her keep as well. She absolutely LOVED the giant bear...she was laying on it, hugging it, and was just being good!

After leaving the store, we headed home...Natalie fell asleep in the car and took a good nap (thank goodness)! Bobby got to rest just a little bit before having to head back to the church (poor guy is exhausted)!  Natalie was whiny tonight and was driving me crazy, which I kind of felt bad about feeling that way about her today since it is Mother's Day, but she was just not very cooperative today and was wearing me out. Plus, it didn't help that Aubrey was making me super sore today as well.  However, once she ate and got cleaned up and headed to bed, I got to take a bubble bath with Natalie talking and playing through the baby monitor (it was actually pretty cute just listening to her...makes you wonder what she is thinking sometimes).

I rarely take bubble baths (this is on the 2nd time in our new house), but it felt great and the pain from Aubrey subsided at least while I was in there. I used another one of my Lush Bubblebars that I got from Christmas and it was awesome!  I will seriously be asking for those every year at Birthday/Christmas because they are just amazing!  The bubbles stay forever, they make you feel silky smooth, and the ones I have smell great too!  Love, love, love Lush products!

All in all, I had a fantastic Mother's Day!  I love Natalie to pieces and I am so blessed to be her Mommy!  I can't wait to see my love double when baby Aubrey arrives (let's all hope soon)! Thank you, Bobby!
