Terre Haute Children's Museum

I asked Amanda to come down this morning to watch the girls so I could go to an "interview" for a possible new PRN position. She agreed and we planned on going to the Terre Haute Children's Museum after I got back.

My "interview" wasn't much of an interview, it was more of a "question and answer...okay, your interested?! Here's our new hire packet and just go get a urine drug test, then bring back your information." OTs are hard to come by in the area and I get calls and postcards constantly. After getting several postcards from this one company, I decided to check them out. They have 4 locations based in independent living facilities, so it is basically a combination of outpatient and home health...PERFECT!  I'm thinking I may be biting off more than I can chew since I haven't even started back at VNA and seen how it will be to juggle work and 2 kids, but I was upfront and honest with them about my flexibility and how I wanted a truly PRN position that I DO NOT want full-time yet and I am still happy in my current position. They were okay with that and the pay is pretty competitive, so we'll see. I'm actually pretty excited about this type of facility!

After my interview, Amanda didn't answer her phone so I decided that it was because A. either both kids were being awful and she couldn't answer or B. she had her phone on silent. Either way, I decided I did not want to go home yet to screaming kids (if that was the case...I know, sorry Amanda...haha). To my delight and surprise, they were actually pretty good for Amanda (she says) and Natalie was napping when I got home. Instead of heading home, I took advantage of not having both girls and went to give my urine sample, then proceeded to go get my face threaded...OUCH!  It had been FOREVER ago that I had went to get this done, and although I feel so much better about myself and am less self-conscious of my hairy face (would LOVE to have laser therapy done to it), it's kind of pricey and it hurts like crazy, but I kept telling myself that labor was much worse and to suck it up!  Haha!  I really wanted to go tanning too, but didn't want to press my luck!  I even took a quick peak in Stein Mart because I really want to buy a shirt for my 10 year class reunion that is Saturday, but I didn't see anything worth trying on. I wish I was still pregnant for the reunion so I at least had a reason to be larger!

I cannot thank Amanda enough for making the drive to watch the girls...I think she's ready for baby Davis #1!  Just kidding, Amanda and Matt, no rush!

Once Natalie woke up from her nap, we headed to lunch, the museum, then the Terre Foods Blueberry Festival where we got some yummy blueberry sundaes in the 100 degree weather!  I'm SO ready for this heat to go away!

I hadn't been to the new Terre Haute Children's Museum, and I have to say that I was pretty impressed. They now have 3 floors and Natalie had fun exploring. For a smaller town, the museum had a lot to offer, is less crowded, less expensive, and much more convenient than going to Indy. However, the Indy museum is quite impressive!

Not so easy to crawl in for Mommy...haha!

Water, Water, Water!

Loving having the air blow in her face while keeping the ball in the air :)

How a fly sees Natalie!

Body temperatures

Pretending to be meterologists!

I wish these were the actual temperatures!  I think we may be able to just as good of a job as the current meteorologists!
